Chapter 4 Installation and Power Connection
4.1 Mount Installation
4.1.1 Safety Notes
- Do not install the device on the windshield.
- To avoid obstructing the driver’s view, install the unit in the blank area of the dashboard below the rearview mirror.
- Before attaching the base, thoroughly clean the surface of the dashboard with alcohol or a cleaning agent. Allow it to dry completely to ensure maximum adhesion.
- Always perform a trial positioning before final installation to confirm that the mounting location and front-camera viewing angle are appropriate and will not interfere with driving.
4.1.2 Installation Steps
- Attach the Upper Bracket
Align the long oval-shaped upper bracket with the 4 holes of the Holder Adapter Slot on the back of the P10, ensuring that the arrows on both the bracket and the P10 slot are pointing in the same direction. Push firmly until a “click” sound is heard, indicating the bracket is securely engaged.
- Insert the Lock Ring
Slide the lock ring onto the ball head of the bracket arm, ensuring the wider opening faces the upper bracket.
- Connect Ball Head
Align the ball head of the bracket arm with the nut hole on the upper bracket and push it into place, then slide the locking ring forward and tighten it clockwise to securely lock the assembly.
- Mount the Base
- Place the base on the desired area of the dashboard and perform a trial placement to ensure it does not block the driver’s view or interfere with operation.
- Clean and dry the dashboard surface thoroughly with alcohol or a suitable cleaning agent, making sure it is free from dust and grease.
- Peel off the red 3M VHB tape from the base.
- Press the base firmly against the dashboard, applying consistent pressure (≥100 kPa) for 20–30 seconds to ensure initial adhesion.
Note: The VHB tape provides immediate adhesion to support some load, but full bond strength develops within 24–72 hours at room temperature; lower temperatures may require longer to reach full strength.
- Adjust and Secure
Loosen the lock ring slightly to tilt or rotate the screen for the best viewing angle. After adjustment, retighten the lock ring.
Finally, use a hex key to tighten all screws on the bracket arm, ensuring the entire assembly is fully locked and stable.

4.1.3 Installation Options
CAUTION:
- Before removing the adhesive backing, test the mounting position and adjust the bracket angle according to your dashboard layout and viewing preference. At the same time, check the front camera’s field of view to ensure the lens is not blocked by the dashboard, windshield, or rearview mirror, and that the image is clear and unobstructed.
- Adjust the bracket angle based on your dashboard layout and viewing preferences.
- For better adhesion, clean the mounting surface with alcohol or a cleaning wipe before applying the adhesive. This helps ensure a secure and long-lasting bond.
- Once applied, it's difficult to reposition — so take a moment to find the spot that works best for you.
- After adjusting the mount to the desired angle, tighten all hex screws to ensure stability.
- Standard Dashboard Mount
Mount the bracket on the dashboard.
Place the support pad vertically.
Ensure the bottom edge of the P10 screen rests on the base’s support pad for better stability and shock absorption.
