Chapter 1 Important Information

1.  About this Manual

To ensure proper use of your Bluetooth Remote, please read this user manual carefully and fully understand its contents before operation.

Notes

● The instructions in this Manual use CB7 AI Box as an example.

● The illustrations and interface shown in this guide are for reference only and may differ from the actual display.

● This guide does not cover all possible scenarios. If you need assistance, please contact ATOTO Customer Support.

2.  Operation Warnings

Please read the following precautions before using this device.

1)  Install or wear the remote where it will not interfere with safe driving.

2)  Do not operate the device if it distracts your attention from the road.

3)  Keep the remote away from water, excessive heat, and direct sunlight.

4)  Do not disassemble or modify the product.

Chapter 2 Product Overview

The AC-44F9 Bluetooth Remote is a compact controller designed for convenient operation of the CarWave CB7/CB6/CB4 system.

After connecting via Bluetooth, the remote allows you to quickly trigger system actions using physical buttons.

Each button has a preconfigured default function, and users can customize button assignments in the CarIoTHub app.

Note: The remote can also control basic operations within CarPlay and Android Auto.

2.1 Device Structure Illustration

The device features a detachable design, consisting of a watch remote and a strap.

Chapter 3 Setup & Usage

3.1 Bluetooth Connection

Step 1: Enable Bluetooth on CB7

Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your CB7 device.

Step 2: Pair the AC-44F9

(*Before pairing, make sure the remote is close to the CB7 device.)

On CB7, go to:

Settings (app)→ More → Connected devices

Tap “+ Pair new device” to search for available Bluetooth devices.

When “Smart Remote” appears in the list, tap it to start pairing.

Indicator status:

• Flashing = not paired

• Solid = connected

Once connected, the remote will be ready to use.

Note：

● The AC-44F9 Bluetooth Remote has no power switch.

● The device automatically enters standby mode and is ready for pairing when within Bluetooth range.

● After the first pairing, it will automatically reconnect to CB7 when the system starts.

3.2 Button Functions (Default)

Each button is pre-configured with a default function for quick access.

Note:

1) Default button functions may vary depending on the compatible device.

2) Button functions can be customized in the CarIoTHub app.

3.3 Key Mapping

The button functions of the AC-44F9 Bluetooth Remote can be customized in the CarIoTHub app.

Step 1: Open the CarIoTHub app.

Step 2: Tap the “+” icon in the top-right corner.

Step 3: Select the “Smart Remote” device type icon to enter the Key Mapping page.

Step 4: Select a key number on the left, then assign the Short Press and Long Press actions for that key.

Repeat the steps to configure other keys.

Note：

● Default button functions are pre-configured at the factory.

● You can change button assignments anytime in the CarIoTHub app.

● Key mapping changes are saved automatically.

Chapter 4 Installation Suggestions

Method 1: Strap Mounting

Fasten the remote to the steering wheel using the strap for easy access.

Method 2: Adhesive Mounting

Use the included adhesive sticker to mount the remote anywhere inside the vehicle, as long as it remains within Bluetooth range of the AI Box device.

Note: Do not install the remote where it may interfere with steering operation or airbag deployment.

Chapter 5 Battery Replacement

If the remote stops responding or the battery is low, replace the button battery following the steps below.

Step 1: Open the Battery Cover

Remove the remote.

Insert a fingertip or small tool into the center opening on the bottom of the remote, then push the cover toward the “RELEASE” mark to open it.

Note: Do not pry the cover upward, as this may damage the housing. Slide it toward the “RELEASE” mark instead.

Step 2: Replace the Battery

Remove the old battery and replace it with a CR2032 3V lithium button battery.

Make sure the “+” side faces upward.

Step 3: Reattach the Cover

Align the two tabs on the cover with the slots on the remote, then press it back into place until it clicks securely.

Note：

● Use only a CR2032 3V lithium battery.

● Ensure the battery is installed with the correct polarity (+ facing up).

● Typical battery life is approximately 6–8 months, depending on usage.

● Keep batteries away from children.

Chapter 6 Troubleshooting

1. The remote cannot be found during Bluetooth pairing

Possible causes / solutions：

• Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on the CB7 device.

• Ensure the remote is within Bluetooth range of the CB7 device.

• Move the remote closer to the CB7 device and try pairing again.

2. The remote is connected but the buttons do not respond

Possible causes / solutions：

• Check whether the button functions are correctly assigned in the CarIoTHub app.

• Reconfigure the Key Mapping settings if necessary.

3. The remote disconnects frequently

Possible causes / solutions：

• Make sure the remote remains within Bluetooth range of the CB7 device.

• Avoid placing the remote behind metal surfaces or obstacles that may interfere with the signal.

4. The remote does not respond at all

Possible causes / solutions：

• The battery may be low. Replace the CR2032 battery and try again.

• After replacing the battery, reconnect the device if necessary.
