Atoto S8 QLED 720P Touchscreen Android Radio (2006 Ralliart Install)

This is a fully fledged android tablet with backup camera, front camera, wired & wireless apple/android auto car play. Radio, Bluetooth, Wifi, also a dedicated 4G sim card slot which is awesome and I might test that out in the future for now i prefer using my mobile hotspot mode and using the S8 in standard mode or the alternative built in carlink feature is nice too. The units QLED screen is very bright with up to 600 nits adjustable brightness, and is high quality in its function and responsiveness. I haven't had any problems using it in the sun and its leagues above what I used to have. I installed my unit into a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart so I grabbed the metra double din kit to accommodate its install. Installation went well and I was able to get everything to be flush with my dash. I had to use the included line out converters to get my stock infinity amplification system to work but once hooked up correctly I was groovin'! The head unit itself can reach higher audio levels and sounds a lot better than my old single din pioneer bluetooth unit. Overall I'm very pleased with my unit and can't wait to use it more. 5/5 would recommend this aftermarket head unit to anyone interesting in trying something different with superior screen brightness and quality.

Works nicely!

I have been wanting to replace our other carplay device that we have in our car for quite a while as it has been lagging and just not functioning as it should. I was very excited to get to switch it out with this 9 in touch screen device rather than the previous one. I have to say it is definitely an upgrade how much easier it is to navigate and work. There is no lag whatsoever and everything flows smoothly as it should. You can easily read all of the stuff on there and set it perfectly for car play so you can be hands-free while driving and still play your music that you want etc. The GPS also works perfectly which is amazing because I was having a lot of problems with the GPS on our previous system. Everything is very clear and very accurate! So far I would say it's 100% true to the ad in terms of all the functionality as well as measurements. It fit perfectly in the spot that I needed it to and everything works flawlessly. I can easily mirror my phone to this and play my music Etc it's beyond easy to use as well. My husband is familiar with swapping out radio type stuff so he was easily able to swap this out with the old car play System I had in the car in little to no time. He said it was very easy to do so as well. If you are not familiar with wiring and stuff I would definitely recommend bringing it to a trusted mechanic to wire this in for you, and then you are good to go! I definitely think it's worth every penny just by how well it works and how nice and clear the screen is! Definitely a huge upgrade for me and I could not be happier!

Surprisingly Great Dash Navigator

One of my daughters has a slightly older model car that she loves, however she was wanting an updated dash navigation system put in her Honda. I did some research and came across many different navigation systems, but for the price point and the amount of features this one has, I went with this one and I'm glad that I did. Excellent. This was a piece of cake to install, and the upgrade from the previous 7" dashboard mounted Carplay device is really significant. The 9" screen feels comparatively enormous, and it's much easier to read and use at a glance without taking my eyes off the road for any longer than is necessary. The huge screen is especially good for reading GPS, crisp and clear with plenty of real estate so as not to scrunch everything up and make it hard to read.I especially like the multimedia options. I tend to eat my lunch in the car but I don't want to lug my iPad to work with me, so it's really great to be able to mirror my phone and play a movie while I decompress and wolf down my lunch.

4 Ways for Internet Access - Built-in 4G Cellular Modem，Wi-Fi，BT，USB Tethering

1). Built-in 4G Cellular Modem: The built-in 4G LTE modem module works with frequency bands supported by most carriers. Frequency Bands Supported are - 2G (GSM 850, GSM900, GSM1900); 3G WCDMA (B1, B2, B4, B5, B8); 4G LTE (B1, B2, B4, B5, B7, B8, B12, B13, B17, B19, B25, B26, B38, B41); Only carriers who support bands listed above can allow S8 to access the network. Even if the frequency bands in the above list are supported, the operator's communication base station does not cover the places your vehicle stays, S8 will not be able to access it. You can visit Wikipedia to learn more about LTE bands supported by local carriers. International buyers need to check the frequency bands compatibility with your local carriers/operators before placing order.

Note: The SIM card slot only takes micro size. SIM with Data Plan is not included in the product package.

2). WiFi / Bluetooth / USB network tethering: WiFi connection is easier as it requires only one step - enable your phone's WLAN hotspot, then WiFi connection can be finished within 2-4s.

Bluetooth tethering: Running online maps or streaming music online on Android car stereo do not need high bandwidth(less than 200kb/s), Bluetooth tethering connection is capable of dealing with such demands. Compared with WiFi connection, Bluetooth tethering has lower power consumption, so the phone battery will last much longer while Bluetooth tethering is enabled.

USB network tethering is a newly introduced option, it allows users to share phone data with S8 via the USB connection. This could help save the phone battery, or even increase your phone battery level slightly; You only need to run the specific CarbitLink application in the background. Please use the factory/original USB cable that comes with the phone.

For S8 (Gen2), the TrackHU app is initially hidden for privacy. Go to “Settings>Device”, and tap “Device” 4 times quickly. Then a prompt will show up to tell you the TrackHU app is now visible in the app list. No prompt means your car stereo may need an upgrade to access the TrackHU function.

HD 720P Rearview Video Display with Live Rear-View (LRV) Feature

Traditional car stereos can only take and display 400-600 lines CVBS rearview video signal. ATOTO S8 MS works with a specific HD camera (AC-HD02LR, or AC-HD03LR if you want the Virtual Surround View feature, sold separately) to show HD 720P rearview video quality.

Live RearView (LRV) Feature - Access Rearview even if vehicle in moving ahead. This could remove obstructions of passengers, headrests and the vehicle’s roof and rear pillars, increasing field of view (the lanes behind and traditional blind-spots).

The specified backup camera (AC-HD02LR or AC-HD03LR) for Live RearView is sold separately.

Dual bluetooth 5.0

Dual Bluetooth chips inside, connectable to more Bluetooth-based devices, customized Bluetooth 5.0 and voice assistant interface

Bluetooth 1 supports call/answer functions and A2DP audio streaming, synchronizing contacts and recent records when connected to a smartphone. It features "Quick Search" and "Add to Favorites" for easy dialing. Noise Cancellation Technology reduces background noise and echo during calls, eliminating the need to shout.

Bluetooth 2 enables tethering for internet, and connects to devices like gamepads, OBD2 scanners, and TPMS. The dual Bluetooth system allows up to 3 simultaneous connections (one for audio and two for data).

As you can clearly see in the picture above, S8 MS is a standard double DIN car stereo. Installation Style: IAH09D [Integrated and Adaptive Head-unit of 9-inch Display]. And with 9" YO-FUNG vehicle-specific Installation Dash Kits (wiring harness, data interface, mounting kit), it offers a more integrated & OEM Factory-style look after installation.

As this is a universal car stereo, extra accessories may be required to finish installation in a specific vehicle (not provided in the package). It is the buyer's responsibility to prepare them (if applicable). They may include (but are not limited to) a dash frame kit, a wiring harness, a radio antenna adapter, a data interface, etc.

4 Ways for Internet Access - Built-in 4G Cellular Modem，Wi-Fi，BT，USB Tethering

1). Built-in 4G Cellular Modem: The built-in 4G LTE modem module works with frequency bands supported by most carriers. Frequency Bands Supported are - 2G (GSM 850, GSM900, GSM1900); 3G WCDMA (B1, B2, B4, B5, B8); 4G LTE (B1, B2, B4, B5, B7, B8, B12, B13, B17, B19, B25, B26, B38, B41); Only carriers who support bands listed above can allow S8 to access the network. Even if the frequency bands in the above list are supported, the operator's communication base station does not cover the places your vehicle stays, S8 will not be able to access it. You can visit Wikipedia to learn more about LTE bands supported by local carriers. International buyers need to check the frequency bands compatibility with your local carriers/operators before placing order.

Note: The SIM card slot only takes micro size. SIM with Data Plan is not included in the product package.

2). WiFi / Bluetooth / USB network tethering: WiFi connection is easier as it requires only one step - enable your phone's WLAN hotspot, then WiFi connection can be finished within 2-4s.

Bluetooth tethering: Running online maps or streaming music online on Android car stereo do not need high bandwidth(less than 200kb/s), Bluetooth tethering connection is capable of dealing with such demands. Compared with WiFi connection, Bluetooth tethering has lower power consumption, so the phone battery will last much longer while Bluetooth tethering is enabled.

USB network tethering is a newly introduced option, it allows users to share phone data with S8 via the USB connection. This could help save the phone battery, or even increase your phone battery level slightly; You only need to run the specific CarbitLink application in the background. Please use the factory/original USB cable that comes with the phone.

Countless Android Apps from Google Play Store

More than 1000 apps from Google Play Store are compatible with ATOTO S8 Series, especially media/entertainment apps and navigation apps in the category of "Auto & Vehicles". Very few app developers may specify devices/system environments that are allowed to install or run their apps, which results in the inability to install or run on any Android car stereos. For S8 (Gen2), the TrackHU app is initially hidden for privacy. Go to “Settings>Device”, and tap “Device” 4 times quickly. Then a prompt will show up to tell you the TrackHU app is now visible in the app list. No prompt means your car stereo may need an upgrade to access the TrackHU function.

Live rear-view

HD 720P Rearview Video Display with Live Rear-View (LRV) Feature

Traditional car stereos can only take and display 400-600 lines CVBS rearview video signal. ATOTO S8 MS works with a specific HD camera (AC-HD02LR, or AC-HD03LR if you want the Virtual Surround View feature, sold separately) to show HD 720P rearview video quality.

Live RearView (LRV) Feature - Access Rearview even if vehicle in moving ahead. This could remove obstructions of passengers, headrests and the vehicle’s roof and rear pillars, increasing field of view (the lanes behind and traditional blind-spots).

The specified backup camera (AC-HD02LR or AC-HD03LR) for Live RearView is sold separately.

Dual bluetooth 5.0

Bluetooth 1 supports call/answer functions and A2DP audio streaming, synchronizing contacts and recent records when connected to a smartphone. It features "Quick Search" and "Add to Favorites" for easy dialing. Noise Cancellation Technology reduces background noise and echo during calls, eliminating the need to shout.

Bluetooth 2 enables tethering for internet, and connects to devices like gamepads, OBD2 scanners, and TPMS. The dual Bluetooth system allows up to 3 simultaneous connections (one for audio and two for data).

The customized Bluetooth in S8 can activate phone voice assistants (Siri, Google Assistant) via Bluetooth. Users can use screen buttons, a steering wheel, or the ATOTO AC-44F8 remote to send messages, make calls, and control music by voice, enhancing safety and convenience.

QLED is a type of LED-backlit LCD technology that uses a quantum dot enhancement film layer to improve the LED backlighting, which can produce pure monochromatic red, green, and blue light. So it greatly improves the color effect and provides ultra-clear and vivid picture quality. It also inherits the advantages of 178°full-viewing angle & high contrast of the IPS-LCD;

There is a Gallery Playback option in the system for users to put memorable photos in the specified gallery folder and let them play automatically on S8's screen with only a tap.

As you can clearly see in the picture above, S8 MS is a standard double DIN car stereo. Installation Style: IAH09D [Integrated and Adaptive Head-unit of 9-inch Display]. And with 9" YO-FUNG vehicle-specific Installation Dash Kits (wiring harness, data interface, mounting kit), it offers a more integrated & OEM Factory-style look after installation.

As this is a universal car stereo, extra accessories may be required to finish installation in a specific vehicle (not provided in the package). It is the buyer's responsibility to prepare them (if applicable). They may include (but are not limited to) a dash frame kit, a wiring harness, a radio antenna adapter, a data interface, etc.

ATOTO regularly updates the S8 (Gen2) series' system firmware when needed. Users can access the latest firmware, ensuring a smooth user experience.

International Standard Double DIN

The S8 MS is a double DIN car stereo with the IAH09D installation style. Using 9-inch YO-FUNG vehicle-specific dash kits (wiring harness, data interface, mounting kit), it provides a seamless, OEM factory-style look.

The 9-inch display might slightly obstruct air vents, emergency buttons, and other controls, while still offering the benefits of a large screen.

As this is a universal car stereo, additional accessories (not included) are needed for seamless installation in your vehicle.

Buyers must prepare these additional accessories, which may include a dash frame kit, wiring harness, radio antenna adapter, and data interface.
