Bluetooth OBD II Use Instructions

The AC-4450 Bluetooth OBD II Diagnostic Adapter is a compact wireless diagnostic tool designed to help users monitor vehicle status, read fault codes, and perform basic diagnostics directly from a compatible car stereo or smartphone. By combining Bluetooth connectivity with powerful diagnostic software, it enables convenient, real-time vehicle health monitoring without complex wiring or professional tools.

Wireless Connectivity
The AC-4450 uses Bluetooth technology for a stable and seamless wireless connection. Simply plug the adapter into the vehicle’s OBD II port and connect via Bluetooth—no additional setup is required. ATOTO A6, S8, and X10 series head units come with the Torque app pre-installed, allowing immediate use after pairing.

Full Vehicle System Function Diagnosis
When used with the Torque app, the AC-4450 supports reading and clearing fault codes, checking engine malfunction information, and monitoring multiple vehicle systems. These may include engine status, ABS, airbag system, turn signal control system, tire pressure monitoring (if supported by the vehicle), and other available ECU data, depending on the vehicle model.

Self-Diagnosis and Preventive Maintenance
The AC-4450 allows users to perform a preliminary vehicle check before visiting a repair shop. It helps identify warning indicators such as the Check Engine Light, read diagnostic trouble codes, and reset certain fault codes when appropriate. This enables better awareness of vehicle condition, supports routine maintenance, and may help avoid unnecessary repair costs.

Compatibility
The AC-4450 is compatible with ATOTO A5L, X10, A6, S8, and P9 series Android head units, as well as other third-party Android-based car stereos that support Bluetooth OBD II diagnostic applications.

Bluetooth OBDII for Android Head Unit

  1. Install OBDII

OBDII Diagnostic Adapter Installation Location

The OBDII diagnostic port is typically located on the driver’s side, underneath the steering wheel, near the lower dashboard area. Please sit in the driver’s seat and look below and slightly to the left of the steering column.

In most vehicles, the OBDII port can be found in one of the following locations:

  • Under the dashboard on the left side of the steering wheel
  • Beneath the steering column, near the fuse box area
  • Above the driver’s footwell, along the lower edge of the dashboard panel

As shown in the illustration, the OBDII port in this example is located under the steering wheel on the left-hand lower dashboard panel. The port faces outward and has a standard 16-pin trapezoidal shape, allowing direct access without removing any trim panels.

Installation Steps:

  1. Turn off the vehicle and ensure the ignition is in the OFF position.
  2. Sit in the driver’s seat and locate the OBDII diagnostic port beneath the steering wheel on the left side.
  3. Align the OBDII adapter with the port, ensuring the connector orientation matches the port shape.
  4. Firmly insert the OBDII adapter into the port until it is fully seated and secure.
  5. Make sure the adapter does not interfere with the pedals or the driver’s leg movement.

Notes:

  • The OBDII port is a standardized diagnostic interface. Do not force the connector or attempt to insert it in the wrong orientation.
  • If you cannot locate the port in the positions described above, refer to your vehicle’s owner’s manual under “OBD”, “Diagnostic Port”, or “Data Link Connector (DLC)”.
  • On some vehicles, the port may be covered by a small plastic or rubber flap that can be gently opened.
