Chapter 13 Fast Boot

13.1 Overview

The Fast Boot feature is compatible only with the Mercedes-Benz and Audi series and is not applicable to the BMW series.

13.2 How Fast Boot Works

The Fast Boot function allows the system to enter a low-power sleep mode, shutting down all programs about 5 minutes after the engine is turned off and the key is removed (or the driver’s door is opened, depending on the car). This enables the system to wake up in under 2 seconds the next time the car is started with the ACC power signal. In sleep mode, the system draws approximately 10-15mA, which allows a typical car battery to last about 160-250 days. However, to protect the battery, the system is programmed to fully power off if it remains in sleep mode for more than 168 hours (7 days). During these 7 days, it consumes only about 2.5%-4% of the battery’s capacity. Driving the car resets the 7-day countdown, so the system will not shut down automatically with regular use. After the car has been parked for more than 7 days, the system needs a full startup, which takes about 20-25 seconds.

13.3 Cautions for Fast Boot

To ensure Fast Boot functions correctly, it's crucial to wire the <12v Ignition/ACC> and <12v Constant Power/Battery> correctly in the power harness. Incorrect wiring may prevent the system from entering sleep mode, leaving the screen on, or interrupting the hibernation process, leading to a 20-30-second restart time.

1.  Click to enter into background apps.

2. Find the desired app and then click to let it run on the left, and choose another that runs on the right window.

3. Scroll left or right to a single-window display.

Chapter 16 Front View Preview

16.1 Front View Preview

Note:

•Front view preview and AUX video are mutually exclusive. The system defaults to displaying the AUX app. If you wish to use the FCAM app for real-time front view preview, please go to Setting > , locate, and enable the Front View function. Once enabled, the AUX app will be replaced by the FCAM app.

•The AC-FCR04W front camera is not included in the head unit package.

1 user-customized option.

By default, the front channel supports a 16-band frequency equalizer. To enable the rear channel adjustment, tap the in the upper right corner, and activate the function. There are 32 frequency bands, with 16 for the front speakers and 16 for the rear. Swipe right on the screen to adjust the 16-band rear channel. The total valid band frequency range is between 30 Hz and 16 kHz.

allows you to boost the lower frequencies in your music for full, rich sound at lower volumes. Each band slope can be adjusted with the Q factor by touching the Q number.

Q=f0/(f2-f1)

The bigger the Q factor is, the narrower the bandwidth and the steeper the slope, so the adjustment affects a smaller range of frequencies around the center frequency. Conversely, the smaller the Q factor is, the wider the bandwidth and the gentler the slope, so the adjustment affects a broader range of frequencies and sounds more noticeable.

17.2 Field (aka Listening Position)

You can adjust your preferred listening position using or , or select from four presets: Driver seat, Co-pilot seat, Rear seat, and Centre.

17.3 Surround

Surround: The Surround in car audio delays sound from closer speakers so that all speakers sound like they're the same distance away, improving audio balance.

Front Left = Front Left Speaker

Front Right = Front Right Speaker

Rear Left = Rear Left Speaker

Rear Right = Rear Right Speaker

Because rear speakers are far from the driver’s seat, they may become a little weaker to the driver or front listeners. Users can adjust the<Rear horn Surround strength> option on the right as compensation.

17.4 Bass Enhancement

1.  The image of the speaker on the left represents the front speaker and the image of the speaker on the right represents the rear speaker.

2.  Select the frequency range where the enhancement can be implemented.

3.  Slide pointer to adjust how much you want to boost for the selected frequency range. You can adjust the pointer between 0 ~ 12.

4.  Click to enter in Subwoofer Boost settings.
