Great QLED Screen… but that’s it.

This unit easily has the best screen I have ever seen in these CarPlay / Android Auto devices. The QLED screen is crisp, clear and bright.However there are cons, that together, have caused me to return the unit for a refund. They are:1) While the description clearly notes it’s for both CarPlay and Android Auto, it has far fewer features when paired with CarPlay. It’s clearly an Android Auto unit first and foremost.2) It’s a heavy unit. The supplied mounting arm with the sticky pad sticks to nothing. The sticky mat that can be attached to the dashboard to hold the arm is also not useful. Neither sticks to glass. I tried two other solutions to mount the unit but it is so heavy, nothing I did would work. Because of the weight, no matter what I tried the unit would come loose. Even when attached on a solid (aftermarket) extension the unit bounced under its own weight.3) Direct wiring to achieve the ‘instant’ on operation was not possible for me. I contacted Atoto customer service a few times for assistance but was unable to get their solutions to work. It left me wondering if using CarPlay, rather than Android, was the root of the problem.So, if you want a great QLED screen, it’s a very fine product. But if you want it mounted securely, you will need to find an out of box solution since what is in the box will not support the weight of the screen nor keep it stable. If you want all of the features, iPhones won’t work as well as Android for this product.
