Works OK, but not the most intuitive

A bit of a hit and miss device for me tbh, but here goes. While it's plug and play, I did spend way too much time wondering why it just wouldn't display on my screen, but I eventually got it working by using the supplied Y-cable with an additional power source from the car, and only then did the display finally come to life.Once running, it does what it promises in terms of being a fully standalone Android-based unit rather than a simple CarPlay dongle, but I’m not a huge fan of the interface. I currently use another third-party box and that feels more intuitive, has better colour distribution, and generally looks more polished. This unit is also a bit laggy — not unusable, but noticeable, and more so if you're looking to stream from TV streaming apps like Netflix or prime which come installed standard out of the box. It’s best approached as a completely separate device that runs independently, rather than something you’ll still heavily rely on your phone for, and as a result I still prefer my current setup......then again on seconds thought, connecting with your phone becomes a pain when you have passengers in your car and you rush out, and music and all disconnects, lol.Unfortunately, the deal breaker for me was the on-screen keyboard. For some reason, it was completely inaccessible in my setup, and the only explanation I can think of is incompatibility with my car’s scroll wheel controls (2017 Lexus IS300). That severely limited my ability to log in to apps, and even trying to connect to my hot-spot was painful, with me eventually removing security from my WiFi network so it would connect automatically. On a positive note, it does look quite nice installed, especially with the customizable ambient ring light, which adds a premium touch. Overall, while it has potential and decent specs on paper, the usability issues mean I can only give this 3 stars.
