This is my second ATOTO S8. I have them in 2 vehicles.It just works really nicely. I think they are the best of the lower cost Android Head Units. I like that it actually runs android rather than just being a display for Android Auto / Carplay. I think this is an advantage as it can run whatever apps you want and it will work without your phone connected (or with).I've added a 4G Data only SIM card so it has it's own connectivity - again it will work with or without your phone. That means someone else can drive the vehicle without losing any functionality and without having to pair their phone first.I have their reversing camera too. It adds a sort of birdseye view - which works really nicely!I also bought their wireless steering wheel remote control & 3D Printed a mounting for it in the centre of the steering wheel. It works nicely. My steering wheel doesn't have any buttons built in. My other vehicle does have steering wheel buttons and they were easy to map to the head unit.Everything just seems to work as you would hope!

Firstly let me say this....if you are concerned about purchasing a Chinese piece of hardware and that the customer service may not be up to scratch .. let me say, you have nothing to worry about as far as my experience goes. I had a couple of technical questions I needed answering during the installation and customer service ( Fannie) were nothing short of superb. An email to them at 11:30 at night was replied to in detail by 8am the following day, fully answering my question. 10/10. I can't think of any other customer service that I'd rank this high. They contacted me back to see how I was getting on with the install and have been so helpful.Well, having previously had an Atoto A6 system, I was pretty sure that my new S8SM would be a quality piece of equipment, and I have not been disappointed. The installation went without a hitch. The S8 is about a 1/3 of the depth of my original A6 so there is now plenty of room for the wires etc behind, but please note if you are upgrading from an A6 you will need to swap out your ancillaries for the ones provided as they have different connectors on ( WiFi, GPS, etc). I purchased at the same time the 360degree reversing camera which did require me to break into one of the power wires on the supplied harness to complete the install, but the customer service dept confirmed exactly which wire needed to be spliced and it was an easy job.Everything is now fitted and up and running. I've experimented with my phone connection, Android Auto feature, and the reversing camera and have also linked it up to an "echo auto" so that I can control on the go using the Alexa app which all seems to work flawlessly so far with my Samsung phone.The reversing camera is very clever and gives a plan view beside the camera view of the space around your vehicle. I suspect that it will be a little while until I can fully trust it but I can see that it will be useful in some circumstances.I can now happily put my phone in the glovebox when I get in my car, and not worry about being done for operating my phone whilst driving.I can't at this stage comment on the visability of the screen in direct sunlight as it's rained here pretty much since I installed it unfortunately.Bluetooth connection to the phone initiates Android Auto and so far has worked every time as does the wired connection via USB.All my steering wheel buttons are now programmable via the S8 software (assuming you purchase and install the correct third party adapter for your car).The S8 seems to tick all of the boxes for me at this stage but if it's anything as good as the A6 ( didn't have android auto on it) I will be well pleased.Dislikes....none so far.My suggestion is to check out the numerous YouTube reviews if you are thinking of purchasing as they are pretty universally complementary about the product.
