Quite a decent device for the price..., pretty fast and quite a comprehensive box of parts ...Apart from the mounting plates, these are quite useless, they seem to have random holes all over the placenone of which line up with the the radio chassis frame ? so your on your own there .. LOLOnce I get in the Micra , i'll update this a bit ..

So I have bought this unit to go in my project car having used a Atoto S8Pro for the last 20k miles, I never had a problem with that one however that is a premium unit so I thought I'd try a budget one. At the time of purchase there was a sale so I only paid £100 for this unit.First impressions:Picture quality looks spot on, optional HDMI in and Out which I will be testing on a later date, sound drivers are brilliant, unit seems very fast to boot and respond.There is a wiring adapter that you can plug into the unit to give you individual sound out + sub wiring if you wish to run a independent sound system/subwoofer. Install is a piece on cake on a CRV, it took me 5 minutes to get it ready...The only downfall on this radio at current is no physical buttons and there's no ability to add a Sim card for data - however you still are able to access the Internet via phone hotspot and wired tethering.On that note, as this is essentially an android tablet, you have the ability to download nearly any app on the app store, however do not get distracted watching videos while driving!!So far 10/10, once the project car is on the road and this unit is used daily if I come across any issues I'll update the review accordingly.

This is not my first double-din head unit from Atoto. I am upgrading from an older model, which I have happily had in my car since late 2019. As a brand, I have always been very impressed with the customer service they offer, having had help numerous times previously when trying to set up my original unit. Email replies are always prompt and helpful.I've been using the A5 Lite for just over a week now and have honestly been thoroughly impressed by it. Installation was fairly straightforward, with all the connecting wires you should need included in the box. Including USB cables and a GPS antenna. I'm no auto electrician, but the online instructions helped me to get it up and running within an hour (even with having to remove all of the old head unit and hiding some wires behind the dashboard), as it is pretty much plug and play.Despite being one of Atoto's more budget offerings, it comes packed with so many features that it puts the other major brands to shame when looking within the same price bracket. The Android operating system works seamlessly, feeling nice and fluid with no noticeable lag whatsoever. The screen looks sharp and bright, and I love the clean new interface and ability to be able to customise the layout, etc. I have found the sound quality to be great. I'm no audiophile, but it sounds so much better than the stock stereo that was fitted to my car originally.Upon turning the key, the unit starts up almost immediately, with the wireless CarPlay (or Android Auto) connected and visible all within 20 seconds. The CarPlay has been a game changer for me, and makes my car feel much more modern and really is a joy to use for maps, music and phone calls. Both the built-in Bluetooth and wifi works a treat, no longer having to hide an antenna behind the dash like my old model. This unit doesn't have DAB built in; however, I do have the Atoto receiver already from before. It plugs straight into one of the USB cables and works a treat. I also have a 3rd party canbus adaptor, which I connected to the wiring loom (something the customer service team helped me with), that allows my steering wheel controls to work flawlessly.I honestly don't think you'll find a better-equipped double-din head unit for anywhere near the cost of the A5LG2B7T, especially from any of the well-known car audio brands. If you are concerned about buying a headunit made by a Chinese company, don't be. I can't vouch for any of the other Chinese brands out there, but I can confidently say that Atoto are a serious outfit who offer great aftercare. I've had a few of their products now and have never experienced anything other than quality bits of kit. Highly recommend.

I’ve been using an Atoto A6 head unit since 2019, and it has been extremely reliable over the years, so when I had the opportunity to product-test the Atoto A5LG2B7T, I jumped on it.While I haven’t been able to fully install and road-test the unit yet due to ordering the wrong wiring harness (totally my mistake), I did do a test-fit and setup, and my first impressions are very positive.The unit arrived well-packaged and feels solid and well-built. The screen is bright, clear, and very responsive, and the overall design feels like a step up from my older A6. The Android interface is smooth and intuitive, and initial boot-up and menu navigation were quick with no lag.Installation itself looks straightforward and similar to my A6, which gives me confidence once I have the correct harness. All ports and connections are clearly labeled, and Atoto includes helpful documentation that makes the process easy even for DIY installers.Based on my long-term experience with Atoto products and the quality of this unit so far, I have no doubts this will perform just as well once fully installed. I’ll update my review after I complete the install, but based on build quality, ease of setup, and brand reliability, this unit deserves 5 stars
