Chapter 1 Product Overview
The AC-44P3 USB Dash Camera is designed for use with compatible Android car stereos. Once connected to the head unit via USB, it works with the HD DVR app to provide front-view video recording, photo capture, loop recording, audio recording, and other DVR functions.
DVR functions are operated through the HD DVR app on the connected compatible head unit.

1.1 Product Appearance & Components

① Adjustable Camera Lens
Captures the road ahead. Adjust the lens vertically to obtain the proper viewing angle.
② Microphone
Records in-vehicle audio together with video when audio recording is enabled.
③ microSD Card Slot
Insert a compatible microSD card for video and photo storage.
④ Adhesive Base
Secures the dash camera to the windshield.
⑤ Connector Cable
Connects the dash camera to the supplied USB extension cable and compatible head unit.
⑥ USB Extension Cable
Connects the dash camera to the USB port of the compatible head unit and extends the connection cable for installation.
Chapter 2 Installation Introduction
Before Installation
Safety Precautions Please read the following precautions before installation:
1. Install the camera near the upper center of the windshield without obstructing the driver's view. Make sure the lens faces the road ahead. 2. Clean and dry the windshield before installation to ensure secure mounting and a clear recording view. 3. Keep the camera and cable away from airbags, the rearview mirror, sun visors, pedals, and other vehicle controls. 4. Turn off the vehicle and head unit before connecting or disconnecting the camera. |
Installation process
Step 1 — Insert the microSD Card
Insert a microSD card before installing the camera.

Note: Use a Class 10 or higher-speed microSD card. Maximum supported capacity: 128 GB.
Important: A microSD card must be inserted to enable the DVR recording function.
Step 2 — Connect the Dash Camera
Connect the camera cable to the USB extension cable, then plug it into the head unit’s USB port.
Ensure all connections are secure.
Step 3 — Install the Dash Camera
Choose a suitable position on the upper windshield, preferably near the rearview mirror. Clean and dry the surface, remove the protective film, attach the camera firmly, and adjust the lens for a clear forward view.

Step 4 — Route the Cable
Route the cable along the windshield edge, headliner, A-pillar, and dashboard toward the head unit.
Secure the cable and keep it away from airbags, pedals, moving parts, and sharp edges.
Important Notes
● Do not operate or adjust the dash camera while driving.
● Do not frequently connect or disconnect the camera during use.
● Do not disassemble, modify, or repair the camera yourself.
● Clean the camera lens regularly to maintain clear recordings.
● Recording-related functions, including parking monitoring and loop recording, may vary depending on power supply, microSD card status, system settings, and operating conditions.
● Installation and use must comply with applicable local laws and regulations regarding windshield-mounted devices and video recording.
Chapter 3 DVR Function Instructions
When the AC-44P3 dash camera is connected to the compatible head unit, open the HD DVR app to view the live camera image, record driving videos, take photos, and manage recorded files.
3.1 Main Features
1080P Full HD Recording
Supports 1920 × 1080 Full HD video recording at up to 30 fps, providing clear footage during everyday driving.
Loop Recording
Supports continuous loop recording. When the storage space is full, older unlocked video files are automatically overwritten so recording can continue.
Night Vision Support
Improved low-light visibility helps maintain clearer video recording in dark or low-light driving environments.
Wide-Angle View
The AC-44P3 features a wide-angle lens to capture a broader area in front of the vehicle.
Photo Capture
Take a still photo directly from the live DVR screen when needed.
Audio Recording
The built-in microphone of the compatible dash camera can record audio together with the video. Audio recording can be enabled or disabled from the DVR interface.
Video File Lock
Important video clips can be locked to help prevent them from being overwritten during loop recording.
Video Playback
Recorded videos and photos can be viewed directly through the HD DVR app on the head unit.
Driving Information Display
When the required positioning information is available, the DVR interface can display driving information such as:
- Vehicle speed
- Latitude
- Longitude
3.2 HD DVR Interface
After connecting the AC-44P3, tap HD DVR on the head unit to enter the DVR interface.


The main controls include:
① Microphone
Turns audio recording on or off.
② Snapshot
Captures a still photo from the current camera view.
③ Record
Starts or stops video recording.
④ Lock
Locks the current video file to help prevent it from being overwritten.
⑤ Playback
Opens recorded videos and photos file list.

⑥ ADAS Settings
This page contains the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) related settings. These options allow you to enable or adjust warning functions such as lane departure and distance alerts.

ADAS Switches
Turns the ADAS function on or off.
Alert Sensitivity
Adjusts how sensitive the ADAS warning system is.
Lane Departure
Enables or disables the lane departure warning function.
Distance Warning
Enables or disables the forward distance warning function.
Start in Front
Enables or disables the front vehicle start alert function.
When the vehicle ahead starts moving, the system can provide a reminder.
Sound
Turns the ADAS warning sound on or off.
Lane Departure Speed
Sets the minimum speed at which the lane departure warning becomes active.
Distance Early Warning Speed
Sets the minimum speed at which the distance warning function becomes active.
Note: ADAS functions are driver-assistance features only. They do not replace safe driving practices or driver attention.
⑦ Picture-in-Picture
Tap this icon to return to the App Drawer screen while keeping the DVR view displayed in a floating window.

⑧ General DVR Settings
This page contains the general recording and system settings for the HD DVR app.

GPS Switch
Turns GPS data recording on or off.
Time Watermark
Adds or removes the recording time watermark on video files.
Speed Units
Sets the speed display unit, such as km/h or mph.
Clip Time
Sets the length of each recorded video clip.
Format
Formats the storage used by the DVR and deletes all saved recording files.
Device Version
Displays the current connected DVR device version.
APP Version
Displays the current HD DVR app version.
Note: Formatting the storage will erase all saved files. Please back up important videos before formatting.
Chapter 4 Troubleshooting
