The quality is amazing during daylight... I haven’t used it at night yet, but so far blown away by how easy to install... it just fits into a USB port.I’ve only had it a week, but so far love it... if my opinion changes I’ll post an update..

AC-44P2: HD Recording, Seamless ATOTO Integration. Drive Smart. Drive Safe.

1080P Video Recording. The AC-44P2 On dash camera records video by itself, and the ATOTO Android Car stereo acts as the operation interface - It does not require storage space from the Android car stereo, as it has a Micro SD slot. It has specified app "DVR CAM" for operation management

Notes: ATOTO recently updated the chip of AC-44P2, however, its original function remains unchanged. The new AC-44P2 is only compatible with a new dedicated app (DVR CAM) on the car stereo; if there's a severe lag when using the dedicated app, it's likely that you are using an outdated version (HD DVR) while AC-44P2 is the latest model. To fix this issue, please update the app according to the following instructions.

1. Uninstall the old app "HD DVR". 2. Install the new app "DVR CAM". (Choose one of the following three methods)

Method 1: If the ATOTO Android car stereo you received is not pre-installed with this dedicated app "DVR CAM", you can install it manually:

Step 1: Connect the device to the Android car stereo via a USB external storage interface.

Step 2: Install the apk found in this path on the car stereo: File manager>USB>YF_SA_baseRelease_xxxx.apk.

Method 2: Step 1: Copy the link "atoto-usa.oss-us-west-1.aliyuncs.com//2023/FILE_UPLOAD_URL_1/24981455/YF_SA_baseRelease-1.4.1-20230412.apk" to the browser, and download the DVR CAM apk to the Micro SD card or U disk.

Step 2: Insert the SD card or U disk into the SD card slot or the USB external storage interface of the car stereo.

Step3: Install the DVR CAM app found in this path on the car stereo: File manager>USB> YF_SA_baseRelease_xxxx.apk.

Method 3: Download the DVR CAM app on the ATOTO resource website resources/myatoto/com in this path: ATOTO resource website> Download 3rd-Party Apps> Download Center> DVR CAM

Attention:

  1. It will take a few minutes to pop up the USB device in the file manager so please wait till it shows.
  2. The DVR CAM app works only with the ATOTO AC-44P2 DVR Camera, which means the user can't operate this app without a device connection.
  3. The AC-44P2 and its app can work with ATOTO Android car stereo and some other Android car stereo brands (Not all are verified). It is not compatible with non-Android-based car stereos.
  4. Most ATOTO A6 Series and S8 series are preinstalled with a USB DVR app, and the latest app version can be found at www/myatoto/com or resources/myatoto/com.
  5. When you put a Micro SD storage into the AC-44P2, please format it via DVR CAM app. This is the required step for the on dash camera to start recording properly!
  6. The AC-44P2 with the updated chip is not compatible with S8 Gen1 and A6Y Series.

  • Micro SD storage card is not included and is up to 64 GB. Compatible with Selected ATOTO Android Car Stereo models (ATOTO A6 & S8 series)
  • The camera has an Auto Recording option and is enabled by default. As long as it is powered by an Android car stereo via USB, it will start recording automatically when you start the engine. Even if the "DVR CAM" app is not running, the automatic recording function will not be affected or interrupted.
  • Important video can be locked, avoid being deleted by recurring recording. You can click the "take photo" button to let the camera take a picture; In addition, this camera has a microphone inside and allows users to disable it if necessary.
  • Easy to view recording files via a larger HD touchscreen anytime, better than dash cameras that has small screen and difficult buttons operations.
