Bluetooth & Radio Tuner: Dual Bluetooth (Bluetooth 1 (BT1) supports SBC and AAC codecs and HFP/HSP/A2DP/AVRCP/PBAP protocols); Radio tuner: integrated high-sensitivity FM/AM tuner with RDS/RBDS function (the radio station name will be displayed if available).

The S8 UN offers 4 methods of Internet access - Wi-Fi/BT/USB Tethering and built-in 4G cellular modem

1). Phone mobile data

The S8 allows users to connect to the phone's hotspot via 2.4GHz & 5GHz Wi-Fi or Bluetooth tethering for Internet access; Using online maps or streaming music on an Android car stereo does not require high bandwidth (less than 200kb/s). Bluetooth tethering can meet these needs; Compared to Wi-Fi connection, Bluetooth tethering consumes less power, prolonging the phone's battery life during Bluetooth tethering use; Wi-Fi connection is simpler, as it requires only one step: activating the phone's WLAN hotspot, and Wi-Fi connection completes in 2-4 seconds. Bluetooth connection requires 2-3 steps; USB network tethering is an option introduced by ATOTO, allowing users to share phone data with S8 via USB connection. This can help save the phone battery or even increase it slightly. It is enough to run the CarbitLink application in the background.

2). Built-in 4G cellular modem

The SIM card slot only supports the Micro format. The SIM with a data plan is not included in the product package; The built-in 4G LTE modem module supports frequency bands used by most operators. Supported frequency bands: 2G (GSM 850, GSM900, GSM1900); 3G WCDMA (B1, B2, B4, B5, B8); 4G LTE (B1, B2, B4, B5, B7, B8, B12, B13, B17, B19, B25, B26, B38, B41); Only operators that support the bands listed above will allow the S8 to access the network. Even if the frequency bands listed above are supported, if the operator's base stations do not cover the area where the vehicle is located, the S8 will not be able to connect; You can visit Wikipedia to learn more about the LTE bands supported by local operators. International buyers must verify the frequency bands compatibility with local operators before placing an order; Numerous Android apps from the GGLE Play Store and ATOTO's pre-installed GPS tracking app (TrackHU)

Over 1000 apps from the GGLE Play Store are compatible with the ATOTO S8 series, particularly media/entertainment apps and navigation apps in the "Auto & Vehicles" category. Very rarely, some app developers specify devices or system environments that can install or run their apps, preventing installation or execution on Android car stereos.

Note: some apps are not compatible with S8 (Gen2), such as Netflix.

Built-in dual Bluetooth chip, connectable to multiple Bluetooth devices, custom interface for Bluetooth and voice assistant

Bluetooth 1 supports peripherals and hands-free calling with CD-level audio quality. Contacts and recent records will be synchronized as soon as the smartphone is connected. Supports "Quick Search" and "Add to Favorites" for speedy dialing!

The built-in noise cancellation technology helps reduce background noise and echo during hands-free calls. There is no need to raise your voice to communicate with the interlocutor.

Bluetooth 2 not only functions as internet tethering but also allows connection to Bluetooth gamepads (for kids in the back seats), OBD2 Bluetooth, TPMS Bluetooth, etc.

It can pair with devices like the AC-4450 Car Diagnostic Scanner (not included) and the CI-FLT01 Floor Light (not included) for an enhanced experience.

Thanks to dual Bluetooth, the system allows you to connect up to 3 devices simultaneously (one for audio, two for data communication).

The Bluetooth of the S8 can activate the phone's voice assistant (Siri, Google Assistant). This allows users to conveniently use a specific button on the screen, the steering wheel, or the ATOTO AC-44F8 wireless remote to send messages and make voice calls.
