This isn't just a wireless Android Auto, Apple Carplay Adapter.

I started to give this a negative review for the poor directions, and lack of initial understanding of how to properly use the product, but after sticking with it and using it for a little while I figured out how to switch between the Atoto CB4CT and Android Auto (or Apple Car Play). Then I was able to connect to my Mobile Hotspot, then sign into the Apps I want to use. It seems easy now, but it wasn't when I was 1st trying to set the Atoto up. I can also tell you its different with each stereo. The factory stereo in my buick Encore works one way, my wifes Pacifica works another way, and our son's aftermarket Kenwood works totally different than both of them, but over all it's A handy device to have for passengers on road trips, and plenty of very useful things to make driving easier, more fun, and with some of the hands free features even safer.

Easy(maybe) Wireless Android Auto

First off - YOU NEED A VEHICLE WITH ANDROID AUTO OR iOS CAR PLAY TO USE THIS DEVICE. This will not give your vehicle that option. This only takes your vehicles Android Auto/Car Play to a wireless connection. The device works as described. Set up was pretty easy, but if you've never hooked your phone to your vehicle before, you must first plug in your phone to the appropriate usb port to pair your device to the car. Once that's done, then you can find the device to pair with your phone via Bluetooth. After that, you will then be able to connect wirelessly to your vehicle. I don't feel like this was adequately explained in the literature that came with the device. There are several cables and adapters to address just about any situation you find yourself in with your vehicle's ports. Granted, I haven't used it very long, but it all seems to work well so far. My reason for the 4 star review is the literature that left too a bit too much out on how to get started and connect. I figured it out quickly but I imagine some might find it confusing. Also, the device itself is a bit larger than a lot of others I've seen so if you don't want a big mouse looking thing in your center console, this may not be the wireless AA/CarPlay device for you. It didn't really bother me, though. That said, this works as it's supposed to and removes the annoyance of constantly having to connect/disconnect from the charging port on your phone.
