I would give it 5 stars, but I've only just installed it and haven't had a chance to put it to proper use yet. So far, it has performed better than my old stereos.

I installed this into my Lexus LX470 and its been a good choice. The screen looks good, and its like having a phone in your dash.- Boot up time is great- sound output is great - I am running through the OEM amplifier, and it sounds good.- Functionality is better than the ATOTO F7 that this replaced, the Android OS is good- Lots of choice for inputs, apps and maps. Has a GPS receiver, so you can run google maps, but needs internet.

I've been using this Android head unit for about two months now, and I'm genuinely impressed with what it offers for the price.The first thing that stood out to me was the display quality. The screen is crisp, bright, and highly responsive, making navigation through menus and apps smooth and enjoyable. The high-resolution display gives the entire system a premium feel that you wouldn't necessarily expect from an affordable entry-level unit.One feature that I consider extremely important is the inclusion of physical hard buttons. While many modern head units rely entirely on touch controls, having dedicated buttons for common functions makes operation much safer and more convenient while driving.Wireless Android Auto has been excellent throughout my testing. The connection is stable, pairs quickly, and has remained reliable during daily use without the random disconnects that some budget units can experience.The included backup camera was another pleasant surprise. Image quality is clear and detailed, making reversing and parking much easier and providing a level of confidence that rivals more expensive systems.Installation was straightforward and stress-free. Everything was clearly labelled, which made the process much easier. My biggest recommendation for anyone planning an install is to purchase the proper aftermarket head unit adapter for your specific vehicle and complete as much of the wiring as possible the night before. Doing so can save a significant amount of time and make the actual installation go much more smoothly.For audio enthusiasts, the built-in multiband equalizer is a standout feature. It feels more like working with a studio mixing board than a typical car stereo EQ, allowing for precise tuning to match your speakers and listening preferences.Overall, this is a very affordable entry-level Android head unit packed with features that are often found on much more expensive models. Between the excellent display, reliable wireless Android Auto, quality backup camera, easy installation, physical buttons, and extensive audio controls, it delivers tremendous value for the money.After two months of daily use, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their factory stereo without breaking the bank.

A good head unit with physical volume buttons.

The A5L is a solid budget friendly option for aftermarket radios that have car play and android auto built in. Installation was straight forward and with the normal minor soldering or using butt connectors it is ready to go. Setup was standard for an android device what little I have experience with. While I don’t have an android to test out android auto and have little experience with Android auto in general this unit does the job well for the iOS side once you start figuring out how it works. Some functions like linking bluetooth obd readers are hidden inside androids menus but doing a search got bluetooth fixed that. Zlink is the app required for iOS usage and an app called kalos was needed to link the device to zlink. Audio output is satisfactory though I would not consider myself an audiophile. The extra capability of built syncing with an obd2 reader, led strip lighting, dashcam and backup camera are welcome additions if your into that sort of stuff. I have the backup camera installed from my previous head unit the Atoto F7. I'm still discovering new functionalities. Highly recommend this device for anyone interested in upgrading their car stereo on a budget.
