Saying that, it will also connect automatically to your phone when you enter the car if you want it to.It boosts a massive range of apps that aren't typically available on the pre-installed hubs, though how useful they are really depends on the user. Most people will probably find one or two extras that they really use, which may or may not be worth it. It's pretty easy to install, and once setup I've found it runs very smoothly with minimal lag connecting to calls, navigation, music etc.It's a nice sleek design, and relatively discrete. If you don't have CarPlay or Auto installed already, you're better off buying a wireless setup from the get go. A nifty piece of kit if you're clear on what value it's going to add to your setup. I got this carplay adapter as an upgrade for my brother's older stereo on his F-150.Before getting this carplay adapter I made sure that it is fully compatible with my brother's stereo system. He had to install a firmware update for his stereo system, but other than that everything went smoothly.The newer Android OS allowed him to upgrade the whole system so now he can use his phone without having to connect it to his carplay. This also granted him access to the newer applications.My brother has mentioned that he really liked the convenience of wireless connection.

I really like that I do not have to connect to my carplay every single time I enter the car, it is all done automatically, my phone is detected without any problems and connection happens very quickly.With this device I can seamlessly access streaming services like Netflix and YouTube, I became a big fan of Waze lately, and of course there is access to the music applications like Spotify.I also like that it comes with pre-installed DriveChat which is a chat GPT powered assistant, that I use not only for conversations but also feel easy and seamless voice control.Indeed this feels like a great upgrade for my older car stereo system.
