12.6 Crossover Adjustment
Using crossover adjustment to divide audio signals into different frequency ranges and directs them to the appropriate speakers: lows go to the subwoofer, mids to the midrange speakers, highs to the tweeters. This ensures each speaker plays only what it’s designed for, reducing distortion and delivering clearer, more balanced sound.
Know the Abbreviations
HPF (High Pass Filter): Lets high frequencies above the set point pass through while blocking lower ones. Commonly applied to midrange and tweeters to prevent distortion from unwanted bass.
LPF (Low Pass Filter): Lets low frequencies below the set point pass through while blocking higher ones. Typically used with subwoofers so they only handle deep bass.
F = Front Speaker
R = Right Speaker
Operation Steps
Step 1: Open Crossover Settings
Go to Equalizer (EQ) App > Crossover.
Step 2: Apply Crossover
Two high-pass filters set cut-off points between the subwoofer and the front/rear speakers, while two low-pass filters control the front and rear speaker output for balanced sound. Adjust to the frequency range that you want to filter. In this example:
Bass below 51 Hz on the front speakers is cut by the high-pass filter
Treble above 18.0 kHz on the front speakers is cut by the low-pass filter
Bass below 50 Hz on the rear speakers is cut by the high-pass filter
Treble above 19.0 kHz on the rear speakers is cut by the low-pass filter
