About The AC-HD02LR

Compatibility

The AC-HD02LR Backup Camera is compatible with the following head unit models:

1. Compatible with the F7 series head unit and used in conjunction with the R-Camera app.
2. Compatible with the A5L(A5 Lite), A6 (A6 PF, A6 PP, A6 PL), S8, A7, A6GC, V10 and X10 series head unit and used in conjunction with the RCAM app.

Special Notes:
The AC-HD02LR is compatible with A6 KarLink, A6 PP, A6 PL, A6 PF (A6 Performance), the F7 Series, S8 Series, A7 Series, A6GC Series, V10 Series, and X10 Series car stereos. It is not compatible with A6 Y, SA102, P5, P8, P8AI, P9, or any other brand's car stereos. Compatible models from our company may change over time. Please refer to the product listing for the latest compatibility information.

In addition, S8 models manufactured before January 2021 (also known as S8 Gen 1) support the AC-HD02LR; however, a system firmware update is required for the LRV feature to function properly. For more details, please refer to the rearview camera comparison table below.

AC-HD02LR Rear View Functionality

The AC-HD02LR Backup Camera supports both reverse-assist viewing and LRV (Live Rear View) functionality, helping enhance driving awareness. Rearview image access is available as follows:

(1) Reverse-assist Viewing: When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the rearview image is automatically displayed on the head unit screen.

(2) LRV (Live Rear View): While driving, users can view the camera’s real-time footage at any time via the corresponding app on the head unit. Note: When the vehicle is moving forward, launch the corresponding app manually or use steering wheel controls (if supported).

Detailed Installation Instructions

Notices Before Installation:

·Ensure the car stereo is powered off before and throughout the installation process.

·Take extra care during wiring. Make sure all wires, plugs, and ports are not damaged during installation.

·After inserting any plug into a port, gently twist it to ensure a secure and full connection.

Installation Instructions

(1) Connect thepink power wire labeled “To the back-up lamp (+12V)” and theblack ground wire labeled “GND” from the backup camera to the reversing light.

(2) Connect theyellow RCA cable from the backup camera to the RCIN port on the rear panel of the car stereo.

(3) Connect thepink signal wire labeled “Rear Camera +” from the backup camera to the <Rear Camera +> wire on the car stereo’s power harness.

(4) Connect the otherred power wire labeled “ACC” from the backup camera to the Accessory/Ignition wire on the car stereo’s power harness.

Special Notes:
Unlike traditional backup cameras that are powered by the vehicle’s reversing lamp, the AC-HD02LR is designed to draw power from the connected head unit or the vehicle’s ACC (Accessory) power. In addition, selected ATOTO head unit models require built-in hardware support to ensure the camera’s video signal can be received and displayed even when the vehicle is not in reverse gear.
