Chapter 4 Troubleshooting
- No stations found after scanning
- Run a Full Scan again and make sure your area has Band III (174–240 MHz) DAB coverage.
- Check the antenna connection: the amplifier/antenna must be firmly attached and grounded to metal as instructed; avoid metallic/heat-reflective film areas if possible.
- If using an external box, use a shielded USB cable as recommended.
2. USB device not detected
- Ensure the receiver is connected to the head unit via USB and that the DAB APK is installed; the device is plug-and-play after APK installation.
- Unplug/re-insert the USB; try another USB port on the head unit.
- Grant the USB permission prompt in the DAB app if it appears.
3. Weak or unstable reception
- Verify the antenna position and cable routing; keep RF cable away from thick power looms where possible.
- Use an active glass antenna (with amplifier) to enhance DAB+ reception as recommended.
4. Background scan/list not updating
- Enable BGS (Background Scan) in the app so the list can update while listening.
- After long trips across regions, run a Full Scan once to refresh the ensemble list.
5. Service does not follow when crossing regions
- Confirm the app build supports DAB→DAB seamless service following and that stations being compared are the same service ID.
- If following still fails, perform a manual scan in the new area.
6. Slideshow/DLS text not shown
- These features depend on broadcaster support. Try another service to verify. Features listed: Slideshow, DLS, PTY, TA, station logo, favorites.
7. App cannot be installed or launched
- Use an Android head unit and install the provided DAB APK per instructions.
- If the build is outdated, update to the latest app/UI per your package notes.
