Chapter 1 Important Information

1.1 About This Manual

To ensure proper and safe use of your new VINLAND Vista Series Android Car Stereo, please read this user manual carefully before operation and make sure you understand the instructions provided. Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.

This manual primarily covers system settings, feature setup, and general operation. For vehicle-specific installation instructions, wiring information, tutorial videos, and other online resources, please refer to the installation materials provided with your product or scan the applicable QR code included in the package.

Important Notes

  1. This manual applies to the VINLAND Vista Series Android Car Stereo models listed on the cover. Certain functions, settings, or interface options may vary depending on the vehicle model, product configuration, region of sale, and software version.
  2. The included accessories, wiring harnesses, dashboard panels, connectors, and rear-panel layout may differ depending on the applicable vehicle and product SKU. Always refer to the actual product and the vehicle-specific installation materials supplied with your unit.
  3. The screenshots and illustrations in this manual are provided for reference only. The actual system interface may differ slightly due to software versions, product configurations, regional settings, or system updates.

1.2 Operation Warnings

1.2.1 Important Safety Information Before Use

To help ensure personal safety and reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, product damage, or other hazards, read and follow all precautions below. If the product operates abnormally, stop using it immediately and take the appropriate action.

1. Prevent Short Circuits and Electric Shock

1) Keep Metal Objects Away

Do not insert, place, or leave metal objects, such as coins, keys, screws, or tools, inside the product. Metal objects may cause a short circuit and damage the unit.

2) Prevent Contact with Liquids

Do not expose the product to water, beverages, moisture, or other liquids.

Liquid entering the product may cause overheating, smoke, electric shock, fire, product failure, or other hazardous conditions.

3) If Liquid or a Foreign Object Enters the Product

Do not continue using the product. Take the following actions immediately:

  • Park the vehicle in a safe location.
  • Turn off the ignition and switch the ACC power off.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the product yourself.
  • Contact VINLAND Customer Support or your authorized dealer for assistance.

2. Respond Immediately to Abnormal Operation

Stop using the product immediately if it shows any signs of abnormal operation. Continued use may result in product failure, permanent damage, electric shock, fire, or personal injury.

Abnormal conditions may include, but are not limited to:

  • Smoke coming from the product
  • Unusual sounds or odors
  • Excessive heat
  • Abnormal screen display or flickering
  • Repeated restarts or unexpected shutdowns
  • Any other unusual behavior

If any of these conditions occur:

  • Park the vehicle safely.
  • Turn off the ignition and disconnect power to the product where safely possible.
  • Contact VINLAND Customer Support or your authorized dealer for inspection and assistance.

 

1.2.2 Important Safe-Driving Instructions

Read and understand the following instructions before using this product. Safe vehicle operation must always take priority over operating the device.

1. Follow Traffic Laws and Drive Safely

Always comply with applicable traffic laws and safe-driving practices. If operating the product requires your attention, pull over to a safe and legal location, stop the vehicle completely, and engage the parking brake before making adjustments.

2. Keep Your Attention on the Road

Always keep your eyes on the road and remain aware of surrounding traffic conditions. Do not stare at the screen or operate entertainment features while driving.

3. Follow Actual Road Conditions

Navigation information is provided for reference only. Always follow traffic signs, road markings, temporary restrictions, local regulations, and actual road conditions, even when they differ from the navigation guidance.

4. Avoid Extended Operation While Driving

Do not perform operations that require prolonged attention while driving. This includes browsing menus, searching for content, adjusting detailed settings, or completing multi-step operations.

Stop and park the vehicle safely before performing such operations.

5. Use a Safe Volume Level

Set the volume at a level that allows you to hear emergency vehicle sirens, horns, railway warnings, and other important sounds outside the vehicle.

Listening at an excessively high volume may increase the risk of an accident and may also damage your hearing.

6. Do Not Watch Videos While Driving

The driver must not watch videos or operate video playback functions while the vehicle is moving.

Video viewing may distract the driver and cause an accident, personal injury, or property damage. Video functions should be used only when the vehicle is safely and legally parked.

7. Minimize Manual Input While Driving

Do not enter text, select destinations, adjust system settings, pair devices, or perform other detailed operations while driving.

Use voice control where permitted and appropriate, or stop the vehicle safely before operating the device.

8. Protect the Product from Harsh Conditions

Avoid using or storing the product under extremely high or low temperatures. Extreme temperatures may cause temporary malfunction, reduced performance, or product damage.

Protect the product from:

● Water and excessive moisture

● Strong impacts or severe vibration

● Metal objects entering the unit

● Excessive dust

● Direct exposure to heat sources

● Unauthorized disassembly or modification

9. Help Avoid Vehicle Battery Drain

Whenever practical, operate the product while the vehicle engine is running. Extended use while the engine is off may discharge the vehicle battery and prevent the vehicle from starting.

Installation must be performed using the correct vehicle-specific wiring harness and power connections. Do not install or connect the product to an incompatible ACC circuit, power supply, or wiring system.

 

 

1.3 Touchscreen Use and Maintenance

This product is equipped with a capacitive touchscreen similar to those commonly used in smartphones and tablets. Handle and maintain the screen carefully to help ensure reliable touch performance and avoid damage.

 

1.3.1 Capacitive Touchscreen Guidelines

● Keep Your Fingers Clean and Dry: Water, sweat, oil, or dirt on your fingers may reduce touchscreen sensitivity or cause inaccurate operation.

● Avoid Prolonged Exposure to Direct Sunlight: Do not leave the screen exposed to direct sunlight or excessive heat for extended periods. High temperatures may cause temporary malfunction, discoloration, deformation, or permanent screen damage.

● Do Not Apply Excessive Pressure: Operate the touchscreen using light finger taps and gestures. Pressing the screen forcefully may damage the touchscreen or display panel.

● Do Not Use Sharp or Hard Objects: Do not operate the screen with ballpoint pens, keys, fingernails, tools, or other sharp or hard objects, as they may scratch or damage the surface.

● Avoid Strong Impacts: Do not strike, drop objects onto, or apply concentrated pressure to the screen.

 

1.3.2 Screen Cleaning Instructions

1.  Turn off the device and allow the screen to cool before cleaning.

2.  Use a clean, dry, soft microfiber cloth to gently remove dust, fingerprints, and light dirt from the screen and panel.

3.  For stubborn stains, lightly dampen the cloth with clean water or a small amount of mild, diluted neutral detergent. Gently wipe the affected area, then dry it immediately with a clean, soft cloth.

4.  Clean the screen in a shaded, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.

Important Cleaning Notes

1.  Do not use ammonia-based cleaners, glass cleaners, abrasive cleaners, bleach, solvents, or other household chemicals.

2.  Do not spray water, detergent, or cleaning solution directly onto the screen or panel. Liquid may enter the product through openings or edges and damage internal components.

3.  Do not use rough cloths, paper towels, brushes, or abrasive materials, as they may scratch the surface.

4.  Do not use volatile liquids such as thinner, benzene, acetone, or high-concentration alcohol. These substances may damage the screen coating, housing surface, or printed markings.

5.  Do not allow moisture to collect around buttons, ports, screen edges, or panel openings.

6.  Make sure the screen and panel are completely dry before turning the device back on.

Chapter 2 Physical Hardware Overview

2.1 Front Panel Overview

The front-panel layout may vary by vehicle model and product SKU. Refer to the illustration for your unit.

2.2 Rear Panel Ports

Viewed from the rear

Refer to the illustration for your unit and connect each cable to the matching labeled port. Do not force any connector into place.

 

1. Far Left: Round Antenna & Audio Ports (Top to Bottom)

On the far left side of the rear panel, there is a vertical row of four round ports, arranged from top to bottom as follows:

FM-ANT – FM radio antenna input

MIC – External microphone input

GPS-ANT – GPS antenna input

4G-ANT – 4G cellular antenna input

 

At approximately three-quarters of the panel height to the right of this column, two digital audio output ports are located vertically:

SPDIF – Square optical SPDIF digital audio output

COAXIAL – Coaxial digital audio output (located below SPDIF)

 

2. Center Area: Multi-Pin Connector Sockets (Left to Right)

To the right of the FM-ANT area, there are six rectangular multi-pin connector sockets arranged horizontally.

From left to right, they are:

① 10-pin connector

Functions include: Backup CAM Input

Bluetooth Antenna

Brake Detection

Wi-Fi Antenna

 

② 6-pin connector

Functions include: USB2 and USB3

 

③ 4-pin connector

Function: USB1 (for DVR recording or external storage)

 

④ 8-pin connector

Functions include: Rear Left Audio Out (RL)

Rear Right Audio Out (RR)

 

⑤ 12-pin connector

Functions include: Front DVR Camera (optional)

In-Car Camera (optional)

 

⑥ 20-pin connector

Functions include:

3. Far Right: Main Power Harness Connector

On the far right side of the rear panel, there is a 16-pin main power harness connector.

This bundled connector is used for:

Main power input

Ignition signal

Ground

Speaker outputs

Steering wheel control and other connections

This connector serves as the primary wiring interface between the head unit and the vehicle.

 

 

Rear Panel Connection Ports

The purposes and usage instructions for these ports are as follows:

 

Backup CAM Input

Purpose: Receives video signals from the rear-view camera for display on the head unit screen.

 

Bluetooth Antenna

Purpose: Connects Bluetooth antenna.

 

Brake Detection

Purpose: This wire is used to detect whether the vehicle’s parking/hand brake is applied. When correctly connected, the system will disable video playback while the vehicle is in motion. If your vehicle’s factory harness does not have a parking-brake wire, leave this wire unconnected

 

Wi-Fi Antenna

Purpose: Connects Wi-Fi antenna.

 

FM - ANT-Radio Antenna Input

Purpose: Connects a radio antenna for FM signal reception.

 

MIC - Microphone Input

Purpose: Connects an external microphone to improve voice input quality.

 

GPS-ANT

Purpose: Connects GPS antenna.

 

4G-ANT

Purpose: Connects 4G mobile network antenna.

 

COAXIAL - Coaxial Output

Purpose: Outputs digital audio signals through a coaxial connection to compatible external audio equipment.

 

SPDIF - Optical SPDIF Output

Purpose: Provides digital audio output to compatible devices.

 

USB1 (for DVR or External Storage)

Purpose: Dedicated storage interface for dash cam recording or External Storage

 

USB2

Purpose: General-purpose external storage expansion.

 

USB3

Purpose: General-purpose external storage expansion.

 

Rear Left Audio Out (RL)

Purpose: Outputs audio to the left rear speaker.

 

Rear Right Audio Out (RR)

Purpose: Outputs audio to the right rear speaker.

 

Front DVR Camera (optional)

Purpose: Used to connect the signal from a front or rear recording camera to enable video recording.

 

In-Car Camera (optional)

Purpose: Receives video signals from the In-Car camera for display on the head unit screen.

 

4G SIM

Purpose: Used to enable cellular network functionality (requires inserting a SIM card)

 

Subwoofer Out (SUB)

Purpose: Outputs low-frequency audio signals to the channel of an external subwoofer.

 

Video Input (VIN)

Purpose: Receives video signals from an external video source (e.g., DVD player, TV box) for playback on the head unit.

 

Left Channel Auxiliary Input(LIN)

Purpose: Receives left-channel audio input from an external device via the AUX-IN connection.

 

Right Channel Auxiliary Input(RIN)

Purpose: Receives right-channel audio input from an external device via the AUX-IN connection.

 

Front Right Audio Out (FR)

Purpose: Outputs audio to the right front speaker.

 

Front Left Audio Out (FL)

Purpose: Outputs audio to the left front speaker.

 

Amplifier Turn-on(+)

Purpose: This wire provides a +12 V remote turn-on signal for an external amplifier. It becomes active when the head unit is powered on (usually when the ignition is switched on)

 

POWER 15A Port

Purpose: Connects to the vehicle-specific power harness to provide power and control signals to the unit.

 

DAB-ANT Port (Optional)

Note: DAB+ functionality is only available in Europe, Australia, and the UK, not in other regions

Purpose: Connects to the external DAB+ antenna accessory for receiving digital radio broadcasts.

 

Special Note:

DAB-ANT Port (Optional)

Connects to an external DAB+ antenna via a Fakra connector for digital radio reception.

Available only on models with a built-in DAB module. DAB+ service availability varies by region.

Chapter 3 Home Screen & UI Operation

This chapter introduces the home screen layout, customizable elements, split-screen functions, and basic system navigation.

Home Screen Layout

 

3.1 Home Screen

The Home Screen (User Interface) consists of four functional areas: the status bar on top, the widget window area on left, the Display Area on right, the Shortcut Bar on bottom.

 

3.1.1 Status Bar (at the Top Right of the User Interface)

This area displays essential indicators such as volume, network state and time.

Note: By default, swiping down the status bar opens the Quick Setting Panel(on left) and message notification(on right).

 

3.1.2 Widget Area (Customizable Display Widget)

This area can display up to 3 user-selected widgets such as, Navigation, Music Player, Weather, Bluetooth Status, Vehicle Info.

 

How to Change Widgets

Step 01: Long press an widget on homescreen.

Step 02: Click the "-" to delete an existing widget and select a relacement by clicking the "+" from the widget list.

Step 03: Confirm to apply by clicking the check mark on the top left corner.

 

3.1.3 Shorcut Bar (Customizable)

This area provides quick-access shortcuts to frequently used functions, enabling effortless system control and app launching.

 

How to Customize Shortcut Bar

Step 01: Long press an icon on shortcut bar.

Step 02: Click the "-" to delete an existing widget and add an app by tapping the app from app center or component center.

Step 03: Confirm to apply by clicking the "complete" button on the top right corner.

 

 

3.1.4 App Drawer (in the middle of the Shortcut Bar)

The App Drawer is an important component of the Android head unit’s home screen. It is represented by a simple and clear “grid” icon located at the bottom left corner on shortcut bar. Clicking this “grid” icon expands the App Drawer, revealing all installed apps.

 

 

3.2 Quick Settings Panel (Control Center) via Status Bar

The quick settings panel is the integrated control center. Swipe down the status bar at the top of the Android head unit’s home screen to open the Quick Settings Panel (Control Center). It provides instant adjustment for frequently used functions and mainly includes the following modules: network and connection, Bluetooth management, driving assistance settings, volume adjustment, screen brightness adjustment, etc.

Bluetooth:

Short press: Turn Bluetooth ON/OFF.

Long press: Open the Bluetooth Settings page for device management and advanced configuration

 

Wi-Fi:

Short press: Enable/disable Wi-Fi.

Long press: Open Wi-Fi Settings for network selection and detailed setup

 

Mobile Network:

Short press: Turn mobile data ON/OFF.

Long press: Open Mobile Network Settings (SIM, APN, data usage, etc.)

 

Airplane Mode:

Short press: Enable or disable Airplane Mode. When enabled, all wireless signals including mobile data will be turned off.

 

Theme: Tap to open the Theme Settings page, where you can change wallpapers, fonts, themes, and screensavers.

 

Brightness Adjustment Slider Bar: Tap or drag to adjust the screen brightness.

 

Volume Adjustment Slider Bar : Tap or drag to adjust the volume.

 

Display Mode:

Left icon: Switch to Dark Mode.

Right icon: Switch to Light Mode

 

Navigation Bar Mode:

Left icon: Left-hand drive mode (LHD UI layout).

Right icon: Right-hand drive mode (RHD UI layout). Switching modes will adjust the interface layout accordingly.

 

Turn off the screen – Immediately turn off the display

Standby – Enter low-power standby mode

Reboot – Restart the head unit

Screenshot – Capture the current screen

BT Lock – Quick screen lock (requires the BT Lock App to be set up)

 

 

3.3 Notifications Center

Swipe down the status bar to open the notification center. It sits right beside the quick setting panel. You can view various notifications and stay informed of important information (such as incoming calls, text messages, app push notifications, etc.).

Chapter 4 Bluetooth

Bluetooth is dedicated to mobile device connectivity (supporting simultaneous dual-phone connection for hands-free calls and music playback, as well as integrated screen lock privacy protection)

 

 

4.1 Connect to Bluetooth

4 paths to access Bluetooth

● Navigation to Home Screen Status Bar > Bluetooth Icon

● Navigation to Home Screen > App Drawer > Bluetooth app

● Navigation to Home Screen > App Drawer > BT Music

● Navigation to Home Screen > App Drawer > Car Settings > Bluetooth

 

How to connect to bluetooth

Step 01: On the Bluetooth panel, turn on the Bluetooth switch to enable Bluetooth.

Step 02: Enable Bluetooth on both of your phones.

Step 03: From the Available Devices list, select the Bluetooth name of your smartphone and tap it to begin pairing.

If you cannot find your device, tap the Refresh button.

Step 04: Tap Pair and confirm any prompts on your smartphone to complete the Bluetooth connection.

Step 05: Once connected, your device will appear in the Paired Devices list. You can now use the to make hands-free phone calls and play music from your smartphone.

4.2 Bluetooth Phone Call

The Bluetooth Phone feature allows the head unit to make and receive hands-free calls once paired with your smartphone. This function enhances driving safety by enabling phone operations directly from the head unit without handling the mobile device. After successful Bluetooth pairing, users can access the dialer, call history, and contacts for seamless communication.

 

Dialer Panel (Left Side)

The left section of the interface displays the numeric dial pad, which allows users to manually enter a phone number to place a call.

 

Call History & Contacts (Right Side)

You can view the list of synchronized call records and phone's contact. Directly place a call by tapping a call recored or a contact.

 

4.3 Bluetooth Music

The Bluetooth Music feature allows the head unit to wirelessly stream audio from a paired smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled devices. Once connected, users can enjoy music playback directly through the vehicle’s speakers. This provides a convenient and hands-free listening experience while driving.

 

Background Image Icon (Top Right)

Tap the background icon to customize the Bluetooth Music interface with different background images.

 

DSP Icon (Top Right)

Tap the DSP icon to open the Digital Signal Processor tuning panel.

For detailed DSP operation instructions, please refer to Chapter 20 (DSP Settings).

 

 

Chapter 5 Internet Connectivity Options

The VINLAND Vista Series supports multiple ways to access the Internet. Choose an available connection method based on your needs and product configuration.

1.  Wi-Fi Connection

Connect to an external Wi-Fi network or a mobile hotspot.

2.  Cellular Network (4G SIM Card)

Insert a nano-SIM card with an active data plan to access the Internet directly via the built-in 4G modem.

3.  USB Tethering

Share another device’s Internet connection via a USB cable for a stable, wired connection.

 

5.1 Wi-Fi Connection

The Android head unit supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

How to Connect to Wi-Fi

Step 01: Create a Hotspot

Use your smartphone or a portable router to set up a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Step 02: Access Wi-Fi Settings

On the Android head unit, tap the Wi-Fi icon on the top status bar,or navigate to: Settings > Network & Internet > Internet > Wi-Fi. Turn on the Wi-Fi switch to start scanning for available networks.

Step 03: Select a Network

From the list of available networks, tap the Wi-Fi name (SSID) you want to connect to.

Step 04: Enter Password

If required, enter the correct Wi-Fi password and tap Connect.

 

5.2 EIOTCLUB SIM Card (4G Nano SIM Card)

5.2 EIOTCLUB SIM Card (4G Nano SIM)

Models equipped with a 4G SIM card slot can access the Internet using a Nano SIM card and a compatible mobile data plan. This is useful when Wi-Fi is unavailable.

 

Note: The VINLAND Vista Series supports two types of 4G cellular connection:

 

Physical SIM Card: Insert the included EIOTCLUB SIM card or a compatible Nano SIM card from your preferred carrier.

The included EIOTCLUB SIM card is optional and is not required for the unit’s 4G connectivity.

Prerequisites and Important Notes

SIM Type: Use a Nano SIM card.

Data Plan: An active data plan from a compatible carrier is required.

Activation: Activate and test the SIM card before inserting it into the unit.

PIN Code: Disable the SIM PIN using a phone before installation.

Insertion: Insert the SIM card in the correct orientation before powering on the unit.

Compatibility: Network compatibility varies by carrier, region, SIM type, and product configuration.

Service Type: Some IoT SIM cards support mobile data only and may not support calls or SMS.

 

 

How to Enable Mobile Network

Step 01: Insert 4G Nano SIM Card:

Power off the unit. Insert an activated Nano SIM card with the PIN disabled, then power the unit back on.

 

Step 02: Access SIMs.

Go to Settings > Network & internet > SIMs

Note: If no SIM card is inserted, the icon will appear gray, indicating that the SIM card settings menu cannot be accessed.

 

Step 03: Enable Mobile Data

Turn on Mobile data. Enable Roaming only when required.

Once connected, the mobile network signal icon will appear in the status bar.

 

How to Enable the Mobile Hotspot

Models with an active mobile data connection can share the connection through a Wi-Fi hotspot.

 

 

Step 01: Access Hotspot Settings:

Navigate to Settings > Network & Internet > Hotspot & tethering > Wi-Fi hotspot.

 

Step 02: Enable the Hotspot

Turn on Wi-Fi hotspot, then set the hotspot name and password as needed.

2.  The Android head unit requires these specific bands to access the network. Additionally, network access for car head units depends on the coverage of the operator's base stations in the area.

 

3.  Despite GSMA certification, some carriers may not be compatible with head unit's IMEI(The VERIZON SIM card has been confirmed to have compatibility issues).

Chapter 6 CarPlay/Android Auto/Mirror(ZLINK)

6.1 ZLINK

This chapter introduces how to use Wireless CarPlay, Wireless Android Auto, and Screen Mirroring through the ZLINK application. ZLINK provides seamless integration between your smartphone and the Android head unit, enabling convenient access to navigation, calls, messages, media apps, and voice assistants in a safer and more driver-friendly environment.

 

Key Features:

1.  Dual Platform Compatibility: supports both Apple CarPlay (for iPhone) and Android Auto (for Android smartphones).

2.  Wireless Connectivity: connects via Wi-Fi + Bluetooth, eliminating the need for physical cables.

3.  Rich App Support: projects supported apps—such as Apple Maps, Google Maps, Spotify, Apple Music, Phone, Messages, and voice assistants (Siri/Google Assistant)—to the head unit.

4.  Voice Control Support: allows hands-free control using voice commands such as “Hey Siri” or “Hey Google.”

5.  Native Touchscreen Control:fully compatible with the touchscreen for smooth, intuitive interaction.

 

Preparation Requirements:Before use, ensure that both your smartphone and the head unit have been updated to versions that support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

 

How to access ZLINK:

Navigate to Home Screen > App Drawer > ZLINK > Toolbox icon

 

ZLINK Settings:

After opening the ZLINK interface, tap the Settings button located at the bottom right corner to enter the configuration menu.

1.  Driver Position: Tap to set the driver position (e.g., left-hand or right-hand drive). This setting will take effect the next time the app is restarted.

2.  FPS Engine: Tap to enable or disable (e.g., left-hand or right-hand drive) FPS engine.

3.  Floating Navigation: Tap to enable or disable the option to display CarPlay/Android Auto as a floating window on the screen.

4.  Background Connection: Tap to enable or disable background reconnection. When enabled, ZLINK can reconnect automatically the next time the phone is detected nearby.

 

6.2 Apple CarPlay Connection

The VINLAND Vista Series supports Wireless Apple CarPlay, allowing you to use compatible iPhone apps directly on the head unit.

 

6.2.1 Wireless Apple CarPlay Introduction

Wireless CarPlay supports navigation, calls, messages, music, and compatible third-party apps.

Note: Wired CarPlay is not supported.

 

6.2.2 How to Configure Wireless Apple CarPlay Connection

Requirements

● Park the vehicle safely.

● Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on both the iPhone and head unit.

● Disconnect both devices from other Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connections.

 

Operation Steps:

Navigation Path: Navigate to Home Screen > Status Bar > Bluetooth Icon

Step 1: Swipe down from the status bar and press and hold the Bluetooth icon. Turn on Bluetooth.

Step 2: On your iPhone, enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, then select the head unit’s Bluetooth name.

Step 3: Confirm the pairing prompts on both devices.

Step 4: Open the ZLINK app and tap the Toolbox icon.

Step 5: Select CarPlay to start Wireless Apple CarPlay.

 

 

6.2.3 Important Note (Wireless Apple CarPlay Usage Notes)

● There is no need to manually select the Android head unit from the phone’s Wi-Fi list; once Bluetooth pairing is completed, it will automatically connect via Wi-Fi.

● Wi-Fi network connections are not supported while using Wireless Apple CarPlay.

6.3 Wireless Android Auto Introduction

Wireless Android Auto connects a compatible Android phone to the head unit, allowing access to navigation, calls, messages, music, Google Assistant, and supported apps.

 

 

6.3.2 How to Configure Wireless Android Auto Connection

Required App

● The Android Auto app must be installed (from Google Play, if available in your region).

Compatible Android Versions

● Android phones with Android 11.0 or later

● Google Pixel or select Samsung phones with Android 10.0 or later

● Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+/Note 8/Note 9 or later with Android 9.0 (Pie) or later

6.3.3 How to Configure Wireless Android Auto Connection

Prerequisites:

1.  Park the vehicle safely.

2.  Disconnect the phone and head unit from other Bluetooth or Wi-Fi devices.

3.  Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on both devices.

4.  On your phone, make sure Wireless Android Auto or Wireless projection is enabled.

Operation Steps:

Step 1: Swipe down from the status bar and press and hold the Bluetooth icon. Turn on Bluetooth.

Step 2: On your Android phone, search for and select the head unit’s Bluetooth name.

Step 3: Confirm the pairing prompts on both devices.

Step 4: Open the ZLINK app and tap the Toolbox icon.

Step 5: Select Android Auto to start Wireless Android Auto.

 

 

6.3.4 Important Note (Wireless Android Auto Usage Notes)

  • First Use Wireless Android Auto: If you are using wireless Android Auto on your phone for the first time, make sure that the wireless Android Auto option or wireless projection option is on.
  • Audio Output Limitation: Android Auto audio cannot play at the same time as local audio sources, such as Radio, Bluetooth Music, or USB/SD card music. When Android Auto plays audio, other sources are paused or muted.

6.4 Phone Mirroring

Phone Mirroring displays your smartphone screen on the head unit through USB or WiFi. It supports compatible Android phones and iPhone.

Note: Video content should only be viewed while the vehicle is safely parked.

 

 

6.4.1 Configure Wireless Phone Mirroring for iPhone

Before starting, open the ZLINK App from the App Drawer, then tap the Mirror option from the toolbox panel.

 

Option 1: USB Connection

1.  Use the original iPhone USB cable.

2.  When prompted on your iPhone, tap “Trust This Device.”

 

Option 2: Wi-Fi Connection

1.  In the ZLINK Mirror interface, select “iPhone.”

2.  Ensure both the head unit and your iPhone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

3.  On your iPhone, select “Screen Mirroring.”

4.  Select the device name displayed on the screen to start mirroring.

 

6.4.2 How to Connect Phone Mirroring for Android

Open ZLINK from the App Drawer, tap the Toolbox icon, and select Mirror.

Path: Home Screen > App Drawer > ZLINK

 

Option 1: USB Connection

1.  Tap the Help icon in ZLINK, scan the QR code, and install the required mirroring app on your Android phone.

2.  Connect the phone to the head unit via USB.

3.  Open the mirroring app and tap Start Screen Projection.

 

Option 2: Wi-Fi Connection

1.  Tap the Help icon in ZLINK, scan the QR code, and install the required mirroring app.

2.  Connect the phone and head unit to the same Wi-Fi network.

3.  Open the mirroring app and select:

Wireless Connection > Start Screen Projection > Start Now

4.  Wait for the phone screen to appear on the head unit.

 

Note: Screen control remains on the phone.

 

Chapter 7 DriveChat App (AI Voice Assistant)

7.1 Introduction to DriveChat & SSHub App

The head unit comes pre-installed with DriveChat, an AI voice assistant powered by SSHub and ChatGPT. It supports voice control of compatible functions and provides AI-based information, assistance, and entertainment.

 

 

DriveChat Functions

● Control compatible head unit functions by voice, such as music, navigation, and selected settings.

● Ask AI assistants for information, guidance, or general conversation.

SSHub Companion App

Download SSHub from the App Store or Google Play to:

1.  Create and manage your account.

2.  Configure DriveChat settings, including the wake word.

3.  Sync settings with the head unit.

4.  Manage optional paid features or supported premium AI models.

Note: Some DriveChat features or AI models may require an additional purchase through the SSHub app.

 

 

7.2 Setting Up DriveChat (Account & Wake Words)

DriveChat Setup Process

Download SSHub > Sign In > Link the Head Unit > Set Wake Words

Step 1: Download and Sign In to SSHub

1.  Download SSHub from the App Store or Google Play.

2.  Open the app and create an account, or sign in using a supported third-party account.

Step 2: Link the Head Unit

1.  Open DriveChat on the head unit. If it is not installed, download it from FindApps.

2.  A QR code will appear on the screen.

3.  Open SSHub on your phone, tap Add Device (+) > Scan, and scan the QR code.

4.  Enter a device name, then tap Confirm to complete linking.

Step 3: Set Wake Words

1.  Open DriveChat and select Wake-up Options.

2.  Tap + New Wake Word.

3.  Enter your preferred wake word and tap Confirm.

4.  Tap Start and repeat the wake word until a checkmark appears, then tap Confirm.

Notes

● Set separate wake words for voice control and AI conversation.

● DriveChat processes one request at a time. Wait until the current request is complete before speaking again.

● Wake-word recognition works best for the person who recorded it.

● Avoid common words or names that may cause accidental activation.

 

 

7.3 Using DriveChat (Voice Control & Chatbot)

DriveChat lets you interact with the head unit more safely, naturally, and efficiently while driving. It combines voice control and AI chatbot conversation for both practical use and entertainment.

1. Personalized Wake Words

● Each user can record their own custom wake words:

○ For voice control commands (e.g., "Hey Mojo").

○ For chatbot interaction (e.g., "Hey Piko").

● Custom wake words improve accuracy and reduce accidental activations.

 

2. Voice Control of Head Unit Functions

You can control compatible head unit functions using simple voice commands.

Examples:

User: "Hey Mojo, turn on the Radio."

DriveChat (Mojo): "Radio turned on for you."

User: "Hey Mojo, skip to the next track."

DriveChat (Mojo): "Skipping to the next track."

 

3. Conversational Interaction

Use DriveChat as a companion for fun and engagement.

Example:

User: "Hey Piko, tell me a joke."

DriveChat (Piko): "Sure! Why don’t scientists trust atoms? Because they make up everything!"

You can activate DriveChat by using wake words. Different wake words trigger different functions.

DriveChat (Piko) answers: “Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world.”

2. Switch to Professional Chatbot Role

Say: “Hey Mojo, switch to novelist mode.”

DriveChat (Piko): “Switching to novelist mode.”

Now continue with: “Hey Piko, how can I write a compelling novel introduction?”

In this context, "Hey Mojo" serves as the control wake word. After DriveChat switches to the novelist role, you should use "Hey Piko" to continue the conversation.

Note:

● “Hey Mojo” (control wake word) → for system control & mode switching.

● “Hey Piko” (dialogue wake word) → for interactive conversations.

● Wake words shown here are examples only. You can customize your own in the DriveChat app on the head unit.

 

7.3.2 Configuring the Chatbot Settings

Before using the chatbot feature of DriveChat, you need to pair and configure it with the DriveChat app and the SSHub app (on your smartphone).

Preparation Requirements

Ensure the following:

1. The head unit is connected to the internet.

2. SSHub app is installed and logged in on your smartphone.

3. DriveChat app is pre-installed or downloaded via FindApps.

 

Operation Steps

Step 1: Sign In to SSHub

1.  Open SSHub on your smartphone.

2.  Sign in with your SSHub account or a supported third-party account.

Step 2: Link the Head Unit

1.  Open DriveChat on the head unit. A QR code will appear.

2.  In SSHub, tap Add Device (+) > Scan, then scan the QR code.

3.  The head unit is now linked to your SSHub account.

Step 3: Configure a Chatbot

1.  In SSHub, tap DriveChat.

2.  Tap AI Chatbot to view available chatbots.

3.  Select a chatbot and configure the available options:

● Use on Car Stereo: Enables the chatbot on the head unit.

● Language & Tone: Sets the response language and style.

● Current Model: Selects the AI model.

● Chat: Starts a conversation on your phone.

4.  In the Mine list, toggle each chatbot on or off as needed.

7.4 Important Notes

1.  Voice Recognition: Recognition accuracy may vary depending on the speaker, pronunciation, and surrounding noise.

2.  App Updates: DriveChat and SSHub are updated periodically. Features, interfaces, and setup steps may change with newer app versions.

3.  Internet Connection: DriveChat requires an active internet connection. Response time may vary depending on network speed and stability.

 

 

Chapter 8 Dual Built-in Microphone & Mic Port

The chapter introduces the Android head unit’s dual built-in noise-canceling microphones, located on both sides of the bottom of the front panel, which employ adaptive noise reduction algorithms to enhance voice capture sensitivity and accuracy. This technology delivers exceptional voice interaction and call noise suppression performance in complex, noisy environments, providing drivers with more convenient, safer, and more comfortable interaction experiences. Also, the Android head unit’s rear panel has a Mic port for External Microphone Input to improve voice input quality.

The dual built-in noise-canceling microphones located on both sides of the bottom of the front panel employ adaptive noise reduction algorithms to enhance voice capture sensitivity and accuracy. They have the following features:

Chapter 9 FM/AM Radio App

The FM/AM radio integrates advanced radio reception technology and user-friendly interactive design. This functionality supports dual-band reception (FM frequency modulation and AM amplitude modulation), equipped with RDS (Radio Data System), AF (Automatic Frequency Switching), and TA (Traffic Announcement) capabilities. It offers comprehensive station management and enhanced listening features, enabling users to access music, news, and real-time traffic information, thereby fulfilling diverse listening needs.

4.  Background Settings: Change the Radio app background theme or select a custom image.

5.  Radio Settings: Adjust am/fem sensitivity level.

6.  Local/Distance Search Mode: Switch between Local Search(Finds stations with strong nearby signals)and Distance Search: Finds stations from farther distances with weaker signals

7.  Mute:Tap to mute or unmute the radio audio.

8.  Favorites:Tap the heart icon to add the current station to your preset list or remove it from favorites.

9.  Search (Short Press / Long Press): Short Press: Preview the next available station. Long Press: Automatically scan/search for all available stations

3.  Manual Frequency Scan: Long-pressing the left or right arrow buttons performs a continuous frequency scan

4.  All stations found during an automatic scan will be saved directly into the preset list.

5.  Stereo Mode On/Off

6.  AF (Alternative Frequency),When the current station becomes weak or noisy, AF automatically switches to another frequency broadcasting the same station but with better signal clarity.

7.  TP allows the radio to detect stations that broadcast traffic information programs. In regions that support TP, the system will prioritize tuning to stations with traffic program data available.

8.  When enabled, the system monitors for real-time traffic announcements, such as:Road conditions/Accidents,Closures / construction,Congestion alerts

9.  PTY (Program Type Selection) Allows filtering and searching for stations by content category

 

 

 

9.3 Radio Sensitivity Adjustment

You can adjust the AM/FM sensitivity level in the Radio Settings by tapping the Settings icon located at the top-right corner of the radio interface.

AM/FM Sensitivity

Use this option if you are receiving too few stations or experiencing poor audio quality.

● Minus (–): Tap to reduce radio sensitivity.

● Plus (+): Tap to increase radio sensitivity.

Notes:

● Setting the sensitivity too high may cause poor reception for certain stations, leading to static noise and reduced audio quality.

● Setting the sensitivity too low may reduce the number of stations received, affecting the overall listening experience.

 

Auto-Tune Sensitivity

For seamless, adaptive performance, use Auto-Tune Sensitivity, recommended for everyday listening.

 

Chapter 10 DSP (Customize Audio Experience)

This chapter introduces the DSP audio settings, including equalizer adjustment and other sound customization options.

The built-in DSP features a 32-band equalizer, allowing you to boost or reduce individual frequency bands to suit different music styles, vehicle interiors, and listening preferences.

 

 

10.1 EQ Adjustment (Frequency Bands)

Navigation Path: Navigate to Home Screen > App Drawer > DSP App > Equalizer

 

EQ Interface Overview

The top bar displays the EQ preset name (e.g., Standard, User, etc.).

There are 13 default EQ presets:

Standard, User 1, User 2, User 3, Classic, News, Pop, City, Movie, Electronic, Rock, Techno, Jazz.You can create a custom EQ profile using the User presets by tapping the Edit icon beside the preset name.

 

Frequency Band Adjustment

● Adjust any frequency band by tapping the “+” or “–” buttons to boost or cut frequencies (20 Hz ~ 16 kHz).

● The real-time frequency response curve above will reflect the change visually.

● Tap Apply (top right) to save, or Reset to discard changes.

 

 

10.2 Balance Adjustment (Field / Listening Position)

This feature creates a personalized sound field based on where passengers sit, optimizing audio for real driving conditions and enhancing the immersive listening experience.

1. Preset Listening Modes

● Front Left Mode – Balanced for multi-passenger scenarios.

● Front Right Mode – Optimized for the driver, reducing driving noise interference.

● Passenger Mode – Enhances the front passenger side for asymmetrical listening.

● Full Vehicle Mode – Strengthens rear output, ideal for rear passengers.

 

2. Custom Balance Adjustment

● Use Manual Tuning to precisely adjust front/rear and left/right balance by dragging the crosshair on the cabin diagram.

 

Operation Steps

Step 01: Access Field Adjustment

Navigation Path: Home Screen > App Drawer > Equalizer (EQ) App > Field

Step 02: Select Preset Listening Mode

Tap a preset on the left sidebar (Front Left / Front Right / Passenger / Full Vehicle).

The cabin diagram will highlight the active listening zone.

Step 03: Manual Adjustment (Custom Mode)

Drag the crosshair within the cabin diagram to set the preferred listening focus point.

 

 

10.3 Surround (Gain / Delayed)

The Surround section allows users to adjust individual speaker levels, apply time delay, mute channels, and reverse speaker phase to optimize the in-car acoustic environment.

The interface contains two sections: Gain and Delayed.

 

 

10.3.1 Gain Adjustment

Function: Controls the volume level of each individual speaker channel.

Navigation: DSP App > Surround > Gain

Operation Steps

Step 01: Drag the slider up or down to adjust speaker volume precisely.

Speaker Mute Button

Tap the speaker icon under the minus button to mute that speaker.

Use cases:

● Quickly silence a specific speaker

● Test individual channels

● Isolate sound for troubleshooting

 

Linked Left/Right Mute

● Tap the Link button

● Then tap either left or right mute

→ Both L/R speakers mute simultaneously

Phase Inversion (Left/Right Phase Button)

Reverses the sound wave phase of the selected speaker.

Purpose: To correct phase cancellation, which can occur when speaker positions cause left and right channels to cancel each other, reducing bass and clarity.

Activating phase inversion may help restore low-frequency impact.

 

 

10.3.2 Delay Adjustment (Time Alignment)

Step 01: Set Listening Position

Choose a primary location (typically the driver). For general balance, choose the cabin center.

Step 02: Measure Distance

Measure the straight-line distance from the listening position to each speaker:

Front Left, Front Right, Rear Left, Rear Right.Step 3: Open Delay Adjustment

Step 04: Apply Delay

Drag the slider to increase or decrease delay. (Max adjustment: 680 cm distance, 20 ms delay.)

 

 

10.4 Filter(High/Low-Pass & Bass Enhancement)

The Filter section precisely controls what frequencies each speaker receives, ensuring optimal performance and protecting speakers from unsuitable frequencies.

Two modes are provided:

1.  High/Low-Pass Filtering (default tab)

2.  Bass Enhancement (second tab)

 

10.4.1 High-Pass & Low-Pass Filtering

These filters allow the user to define the frequency range delivered to each speaker.

Benefits

● Improved clarity and cleaner separation

● Prevents frequency overlap and energy loss

● Protects speakers from receiving frequencies they cannot handle

● Enables custom tuning to match your vehicle’s acoustics

 

High-Pass Filter (HPF):

● Allows frequencies above the cutoff to pass.

● Found on the left panel (“High pass filtering”)

● Adjust using the left/right arrow buttons

● Choose slope: 6 / 12 / 18 / 24 / 36 / 48 dB per octave

● Toggle switch enables/disables HPF

Example:

If HPF = 20 Hz → frequencies below 20 Hz are reduced or blocked. This protects smaller speakers from deep bass frequencies.

 

Low-Pass Filter (LPF): Allows frequencies below the cutoff to pass.

● Found on the right panel (“Low pass filtering”)

● Adjust with left/right arrows

● Slope options same as HPF

● Toggle switch enables/disables LPF

If LPF = 20 kHz → frequencies above 20 kHz are reduced. This is essential for subwoofers, which only reproduce low frequencies.

 

10.4.2 Bass Enhancement (Second Tab)

In the Bass Enhancement tab, users can adjust:

● Center Frequency – which bass band is emphasized

● Bass Gain – level of boost applied

Especially useful for vehicles without a dedicated subwoofer, significantly improving low-frequency performance.

 

Chapter 11 AVIN (Audio and Video Input) App

The AVIN (Audio and Video Input) function on the Android head unit supports external audio and video sources through RCA connectors. This allows users to connect third-party media devices—such as DVD players, gaming consoles, digital TV boxes, or other multimedia players—and play their content directly through the Android head unit’s screen.

 

Key Features

1. RCA-Compatible External Input

The AUXIN (Audio and Video) ports accept standard RCA analog signals (composite video and stereo audio).

The AUXIN ports support external devices equipped with RCA output jacks labeled:

● Yellow: Video input

● Red: Right-channel audio input

● White: Left-channel audio input

Offers a simple and flexible way to expand in-car media functionality without requiring USB or HDMI inputs.

 

2. AVIN App Integration

Audio and video input from external devices can be accessed using the pre-installed AVIN App.

Launching the app will display video on the screen while playing audio through the original vehicle speakers.

 

3. Synchronized Audio and Video Playback

Audio input uses standard stereo analog signals (left and right channels).

Video input follows the composite video (CVBS) standard.

Video is displayed on the screen, and audio is played through the car’s sound system simultaneously.

 

Prerequisites for AUXIN Connection

Before connecting an external device to the AUXIN input, ensure that the device supports RCA output and includes all of the following ports:

● Left-channel audio output

● Right-channel audio output

● Video output

 

Operation Steps

Step 01: Confirm the External Device’s Output Ports

Verify that the external device you plan to connect includes standard RCA output ports.

 

Step 2: Connect the External Device

Connect the device’s RCA outputs to the matching RCA inputs on the head unit wiring harness. Make sure the audio and video connectors are correctly matched.

 

Step 03: Launch the AVIN App

Navigation Path: Home Screen > App Drawer > AVIN App

Tap the AVIN App icon to open the video interface. The system will automatically detect and display the external video signal.

 

Step 04: Adjust Volume

Swipe down the status bar and use the volume slider in the Quick Settings Panel to adjust playback volume.

 

Notice:

Video playback from the AVIN App is only available when the vehicle is stationary, unless the user manually disables the “No Video Watching While Driving” option in system settings. This restriction is intended to reduce driver distraction and comply with safety regulations.

 

To disable “No Video Watching While Driving”:

Navigation Path:Home Screen > App Drawer > Car Settings > General > Car Watch Video While Drive.Tap the switch to enable or disable this option.

 

Chapter 12 DMI-IN App (HDMI Input)

The built-in HDMI-IN app displays video and audio from compatible external HDMI devices, such as TV sticks, game consoles, and digital cameras.

Requirements

● The head unit does not have a built-in HDMI input port.

● A compatible HDMI-to-USB adapter is required and sold separately.

● The adapter supports synchronized video and audio input from compatible HDMI devices.

Operation Steps

Step 1: Connect the Device Connect the external HDMI device to the head unit using a compatible HDMI-to-USB adapter. Refer to the adapter manual for connection instructions.

 

Step 2: Open HDMI-IN Go to:

Home Screen > App Drawer > HDMI-IN

Tap the HDMI-IN icon to display the connected HDMI source.

 

Important Notes

● Video and photo viewing is unavailable while driving.

● Park the vehicle safely and engage the parking brake before viewing video content.

 

Chapter 13 DAB Plus (DAB Plus App)

The DAB+ app comes pre-installed on supported models.

Models with a built-in DAB+ module require a compatible external DAB antenna. Models without a built-in DAB+ module require a compatible USB DAB+ receiver, sold separately.

DAB/DAB+ provides digital radio reception with clearer sound and access to supported digital stations.

Note:

● DAB+ availability depends on the product configuration and local broadcast coverage.

● Models without a “D” do not include an internal DAB+ module and require purchasing the external DAB+ receiver box AC-4475 separately.

 

Main Features

1. Digital Audio Broadcast Reception: Receives DAB/DAB+ signals for stable, high-quality digital audio playback.

2. Full-Band Auto Scan: Automatically scans all available DAB stations in the region, building the channel list and updating newly added stations.

3. Grouped Browsing: Stations are grouped by service type (e.g., News, Pop Music, Sports) for easier browsing.

4. Signal Strength Display: Shows the signal strength of the current station to help find the best reception area.

5. Program Information Display: Displays station logo, signal strength, station name, Ensemble, frequency, and PTY (Program Type), depending on broadcaster data.

6. DLS Scrolling Information: Real-time text info (current program, song title, news snippets) scrolls across the screen.

7. Preset Favorites Function: Save favorite stations to a preset list for quick access.

Required Accessory

● A compatible DAB+ USB receiver is required.

● Use the AC-4475 USB DAB+ receiver (DAB+ Box) (sold separately).

Note: The head unit is not compatible with third-party DAB+ receivers.

3.  If no stations are received, try moving the vehicle or relocating the DAB+ Box to improve signal reception.

Chapter 14 Files Manager App (Files App)

This app functions like a file manager on your smartphone or computer, allowing easy management of files stored on the head unit and connected devices. With an intuitive interface, you can browse, organize, copy, and delete files from internal storage, USB drives, microSD cards, and more.

 

Operation Steps

Navigation Path: Home Screen > App Drawer > FileManager App

1. Manage Local Files

Step 01: Open the FileManager app.

Step 02: Browse, organize, copy, and delete files as needed.

 

2. Manage Files on an External Storage Device (Example: USB Flash Drive)

Step 01: Insert the USB flash drive into the head unit’s USB port.

Step 02: Open the FileManager app.

Step 03: Locate and tap the USB (F) folder to open the file management page.

Step 04: Browse, organize, copy, or delete files as needed.

Step 05: Once finished, safely unplug the USB flash drive.

 

3. Transfer Files from an External Storage Device (Example: USB Flash Drive)

Step 01: Insert the USB flash drive into the head unit’s USB port.

Step 02: Open the FileManager app.

Step 03: Locate and tap the USB (F) folder to open the file management page.

Step 04: Select a file you want to transfer. A check mark will appear next to selected files.

Step 05: Use the action bar at the bottom. Tap Copy or Cut to transfer the selected file.

Step 06: In the sidebar, choose a destination folder (Internal or Photo Folder).

Step 07: Tap your chosen folder, then tap Paste to complete the transfer.

Step 08: When finished, safely unplug the USB flash drive.

Note:To transfer files from the head unit to a USB drive, follow the same steps but switch the selection source and destination.

Chapter 15 USB/Micro SD Card Playback

The chapter introduces that the Android head unit supports local media playback via USB ports and Micro SD card slots, enabling direct access to various media files (Document / Photo / Audio / Video files) stored on external storage devices. Users can simply insert their USB drives or Micro SD cards into the corresponding interfaces to conveniently browse and play content, significantly enhancing both entertainment options and information accessibility during journeys.

 

Navigation Path: Navigate to Home Screen > App Drawer > Files Manger App

Note: Using a USB flash drive as an example; the steps are similar for other external storage devices.

Step 01: Insert the USB Flash Drive.

Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port of the Android head unit.

Step 02: Launch the File Explorer App.

Tap the Files Manager App icon to open the corresponding interface, and the interface will display a list of available storage sources, such as:

● Local Storage

● USB Storage

Step 03: Browse Storage Devices.

From the opened interface, tap the(USB flash drive icon) to open the corresponding window and view its file contents. All folders and files are displayed in a standard directory structure.

Step 04: View or Play Files.

In the opened interface, you can choose to view or play documents, photos, audio, or video files.

Step 05: Disconnect USB Safely.

Before physically removing the USB device:

1.  Pause or stop playback

2.  Return to the home screen or file manager

3.  Ensure the USB device is not being accessed to prevent data corruption

 

Important Note:

1.  Certain high-bitrate or professional video codecs may not be supported.

2.  Watching video or photos while driving is against Federal, State, and Local laws.

3.  Do not use features of this Android head unit if it cannot be operated safely and legally in your location.

4.  Video and photos cannot be viewed while driving. The vehicle must be stationary and the parking brake applied to enable viewing.

 

Chapter 16 Music App

The Music App is a built-in audio player on the Android head unit. It allows you to enjoy music stored on a USB drive, MicroSD card, or the unit’s internal storage. Designed for the large touchscreen, it provides smooth operation and a rich in-car listening experience. Key features include:

● Supports multiple audio formats including MP3, WMA, FLAC, APE, WAV.

● Automatically detects music files from external storage.

● Provides folder browsing and categorized display.

● Supports playback modes such as sequential, shuffle, and single-track loop.

● Supports lyrics display and album cover art (depending on file metadata)

● Supports background playback and steering wheel control (if configured)

Operation Steps

Step 01: Insert a Storage Device

Insert a USB drive or MicroSD card containing audio files into the corresponding port of the Android head unit system. The system will automatically scan and detect the music files.

Step 02: Launch the Music Player

Step 03: Select a Playback Source and Music File to Play

Chapter 17 Video App

The Video App is a pre-installed local video playback application on the Android head unit. It supports playing video files from USB drives, MicroSD cards, or local storage. Optimized for the Android head unit’s large display screen and touch operation, it supports multiple video formats and high-definition playback, meeting in-car entertainment needs while parked or resting.

1.  Supports multiple video formats: MP4, AVI, MKV, MOV, 3GP, FLV, and more.

2.  Automatically scans and detects video files on external devices.

3.  Provides folder browsing and categorized display.

4.  Offers playback-mode switching: single-video loop / play-all videos.

6.  Remembers playback position (resume from last point).

7.  Includes basic controls such as fast-forward/rewind, pause/play, and progress slider.

8.  Supports subtitle loading (e.g., .srt) and cover-art recognition.

1.  Supports displaying two apps on the same screen at the same time without interference.

2.  Allows users to adjust the size of the two windows by dragging the divider bar.

3.  Offers quick methods to switch between apps or exit split-screen mode.

4.  Compatible with many native and third-party apps (depending on whether the app itself supports split-screen mode).

 

Note: Split Screen is only available on Android car systems that support this feature and can only be used with apps that allow split-screen display.

Step 01: Open the Recent Apps Screen

Tap the Recent Apps button (square icon) to open the list of recently used applications.

Tap the three-dot icon on the top-right corner of the app card. Select Split to Left or Split to Right to move the current app to one side.

If the Split option is displayed, it means the app supports Split Screen mode.

 

Step 03: Select Another App

After the first app moves to one side, select a second app from the Recent Apps list to occupy the other half of the screen.

 

Once Split Screen mode is active, you can:

1.  Adjust window size: Drag the divider bar in the middle to change the display ratio of the two app windows.

2.  Exit Split Screen: Drag the divider bar all the way to the left or right to return to full-screen (single app) mode.

 

Chapter 19 Camera Input

The Android head unit supports multiple camera input sources, including DVR (Front/Rear Recording Cameras) and USB Driving Video Recorders (DVR CAM). The DVR system supports single-channel recording, allowing users to manually switch between the front and rear camera feeds as needed. This provides flexible monitoring while maintaining clear, stable video footage.

● Plug a USB 3.0 card reader with TF card (TF card not included) into the USB port of the USB recording storage cable.

Notes:

1. The head unit USB port also supports direct connection of a USB 3.0 card reader with a TF card.

2. Recommended DVR setup:

● Connect the USB 3.0 card reader with TF card to the head unit via the designated USB port.

● Use the USB recording storage cable (from the 2-in-1 cable) to connect the dedicated DVR.

● This ensures stable data transfer and reliable recording performance.

3. If the card reader is not formatted, a prompt will appear. Tap OK to format. Backup all data first, as formatting will erase existing files.

 

Step 3: View Video Footage

● Go to Home Screen > App Drawer > DVR App.

● Tap the DVR app icon to view the video footage from the front and rear recording cameras.

 

Step 4: Switch Front and Rear Camera Views

● Tap the mini window (top-left corner of the screen) to switch views:

19.2 DVR CAM

The DVR CAM function works with a compatible USB dash camera to record driving footage, trip moments, and incident evidence.

For best compatibility and performance, use a VINLAND-compatible front or rear recording camera. (AC-FCR04W / AC-RCR04W, sold separately).

 

Chapter 20 WRC App

The WRC App is a pre-installed wireless rear camera system application that receives and displays real-time video, assisting drivers during reversing and parking maneuvers.

The camera can be mounted on either the front license plate or the rear license plate. The system consists of a wireless camera, a receiver, and the WRC App. Video signals are transmitted wirelessly, eliminating the need for cables. The app displays both reverse camera footage and Live Rear View video directly on the P10’s screen, simplifying installation and improving operational flexibility.

 

Required Accessory

The WRC function requires the WR2-12HDLR Wireless Backup Camera (sold separately). Please note that future models or updated versions may be released—refer to the latest official documentation.

 

Display Modes

1.  Power-Saving Mode: Used for standard reversing footage; video is displayed temporarily and automatically enters sleep mode after 2 minutes (auto-exits the WRC app).

 

2.  Mirror (Live Rear View) Mode: Continuously displays camera footage, allowing drivers to monitor the area behind the vehicle at any time.

 

Enter the WRC Interface( Multiple Wake-Up Methods):

● Press the receiver’s WAKE/PAIR button once to wake and enter Power-Saving View. Double-press the button within the WRC interface to switch between Power-Saving and Always-On (Mirror) Mode.

● Use the SmartRemote: press once to open or close the WRC app (Bluetooth pairing required via the system Bluetooth; device name: SmartRemote).

Note: Do not press the SmartRemote repeatedly or too quickly.

● Use voice commands via the DriveChat App (requires DriveChat login and a recorded wake word).

● When already in the WRC interface, tap the screen to wake the display.

 

 

Image Adjustments: Flip image vertically, mirror horizontally, adjust parking guide lines, and enable Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) for enhanced visibility.

Chapter 24 EIOTCLUB App

EIOTCLUB App is a preinstalled application on the Android head unit, designed for on-device management of the EIOTCLUB 4G Nano SIM card—view data usage and plan status, purchase or top up data plans, and manage account details (bind your email address, view order history, obtain receipts). In addition, the 4G Nano SIM card is an accessory for the Android head unit; when you receive your head unit, simply follow the operating instructions to get online with the 4G Nano SIM card.

(1) View data usage, remaining balance, validity period, and current plan status.

By connecting to the internet (Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, etc.), the app allows convenient access to firmware updates, tutorials, and support services.

Chapter 27 BT Lock(Screen Lock)

The Screen Lock feature protects your Android head unit from unauthorized access and safeguards personal data such as navigation history and account information. It supports two locking methods: Password Lock and Bluetooth Lock/Unlock.

1. Password Lock

Unlock the screen by entering a preset password.

Operation Steps

Step 1: Navigate to Home Screen > APP Drawer > BT Lock

Step 2: Toggle the ON/OFF button to open the Screen Lock Settings interface.

Step 3: Set a password:

● Enter the Current Password

● Set a New Password

● Confirm the New Password

● Tap Save

Note: The initial password is 0123.

 

2. Bluetooth Lock/Unlock

Automatically locks or unlocks the screen based on the proximity of a paired Bluetooth device (e.g., your mobile phone).

● Bluetooth Lock: The screen locks automatically when the paired device disconnects.

● Bluetooth Unlock: The screen remains unlocked when a paired device is nearby.

Chapter 28 Fast Boot

The Fast Boot function is designed to speed up the system’s entry into the main interface after the vehicle is started, significantly reducing boot-up time.

 

 

28.1 How Fast Boot Works

1.Low-Power Sleep Mode

1.  Activates approximately 5 minutes after the engine is turned off and the key is removed (or upon opening the driver's door, depending on the car).

2.  Enables the Android head unit’s system to wake up in under 2 seconds with the ACC power signal.

 

2.Battery Efficiency

1.  Operates on less than 10mA, allowing a typical car battery to last between 160-250 days in this mode.

2.  Automatically transitions to full power-off mode if idle for more than 168 hours (7 days), reducing the battery drain to just 2.5%-4%.

 

3.Recharging and Automatic Shutdown

1.  Daily driving recharges the battery, preventing the system from an automatic shutdown.

2.  After parking for over 7 days, system start-up will take 20-25 seconds.

28.2 Cautions for Fast Boot

1.  To ensure Fast Boot functions correctly, it's crucial to wire the “12v Ignition/ACC” and “12v Constant Power/Battery”correctly in the power harness. For details, please refer to the “Connection” section under “Installation”.

2.  Incorrect wiring may prevent the system from entering sleep mode, leaving the screen on, or interrupting the hibernation process, leading to a 20-30-second restart time.

 

Chapter 29 Network Settings

This chapter introduces the network settings function of the Android head unit, including Wi-Fi(WLAN), Data Saver, Mobile Network, Hotspot, and VPN, to help you optimize network connection and ensure stability and security during driving.

 

29.1 Wi-Fi (WLAN) Settings

WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network), commonly known as WiFi, allows the Android head unit to connect to the internet via wireless networks. Benefits include:

1.  High-Speed Internet Access – Connect to WiFi networks at home, office, or public places.

2.  Data Saving – Reduce mobile data usage (4G) and save costs.

3.  Software Updates – Some system updates require WiFi to prevent large mobile data consumption.

Notes:

● Supports 2.4GHz & 5GHz dual-band WiFi (depending on hardware configuration).

● Supports WPA/WPA2/WPA3 security protocols for safe connections.

 

How to Access to Wi-Fi (WLAN)

Navigate to Settings > Network & Internet > Internet

29.2 Data Saver Settings

The data saver feature allows you to "Permit" or "Block" background app data usage to prevent unnecessary data consumption.

Note: Only applies to mobile networks (4G), without affecting Wi-Fi connections.

29.4 Hotspot Settings

The features a built-in 4G LTE Cellular module, enabling your Android head unit to function as a mobile hotspot.

Chapter 30 Gar Settings

30.1 General

The General panel of the Car Setting App allows users to customize essential driving-related functions, touch controls, steering wheel buttons, display preferences, and system behavior. This section provides an overview of each configurable option and its purpose.

AUX Lens Mirror: This option allows you to flip or mirror the AUX video input display to match the installation orientation of an external camera or AUX device.

Available modes:

● Normal – No mirroring

● Left ↔ Right – Horizontal flip

● Up ↕ Down – Vertical flip

● Left ↔ Right + Up ↕ Down – Full mirroring for complex installations

Use this setting when the AUX camera or video feed appears reversed or incorrectly oriented.

 

SWC Type: Select the steering wheel control mode based on your vehicle’s wiring system.

● Learning Mode – For universal or analog steering wheel control systems. Users can manually assign steering wheel buttons (volume, mute, next/previous, etc.).

● Special Mode – For vehicles using a digital or CANBUS-based SWC protocol.

 

Multi-Finger Touch Function: Enable or disable multi-finger gesture recognition on the touchscreen. When enabled, users can perform supported gestures such as:

● Pinch to zoom

● Multi-finger swipes

● Multi-touch control in compatible apps

 

Shortcut Touch (Floating Control Button): Enables a floating shortcut panel on the screen for quick access to essential functions.

Available shortcuts include:

Key Tone: Enable or disable sound feedback when touching the screen.

Headlight Detection

 

Can Watch Video While Drive: Controls whether video playback is allowed while the vehicle is in motion.

● Default: OFF (videos are blocked for safety)

● ON: Allows watching videos while driving (not recommended)

⚠ Warning: Viewing videos during driving may cause distraction and increase the risk of accidents.

 

 

30.2 Reverse

The Reverse panel in the Car Setting App provides options for configuring the rear camera display, reversing guidelines, delay behavior, and video format. These settings help ensure safe and accurate reversing performance based on your vehicle and camera installation.

Rear Mirror (Rear Camera Image Mirroring): Allows you to adjust the rear-camera image orientation to match your installation and driving habits.

Available modes:

● Normal – No mirroring

● Left ↔ Right – Horizontal flip

● Up ↕ Down – Vertical flip

● Left ↔ Right + Up ↕ Down – Full flip for specific installation requirements

Use this when the rear-view image appears reversed or misaligned.

 

Dynamic Reversing Auxiliary Line Switch: Enable or disable dynamic trajectory guidelines, which move according to the steering wheel angle.

● ON: Guiding lines bend dynamically based on steering input

● OFF: Only static guidelines appear

Dynamic lines help drivers better judge path and distance when turning while reversing.

 

Reverse Line: Enables the static reversing guidelines displayed on the screen when the vehicle shifts into reverse.

● ON: Shows fixed-distance guidelines

● OFF: Hides all guidelines

Useful when your vehicle already has built-in OEM guidelines or an aftermarket camera with its own overlay.

 

Delayed Reversing: Sets how long the head unit should wait before entering the reverse-camera interface after the vehicle is shifted into reverse.

Selectable delay times:300ms/700ms/1s/2s/3s/4s

This feature is useful for vehicles where the reverse signal is slightly delayed or when users prefer a smoother transition.

 

Reverse Mode Selection (Camera Video Format): Configures the video format used by the rear camera. Available options include:

● AUTO (Recommended) – Automatically detects the correct format

● NTSC

● PAL

● AHD

● TVI

If the rear-view image appears distorted, black-and-white, unstable, or with rolling bars, try selecting the correct format manually.

 

30.3 Display

The Display section allows users to adjust the visual appearance, brightness, wallpaper, screensaver, and navigation bar layout of the Android head unit. These settings help improve visibility, personalize the interface, and enhance usability in different driving environments.

Navigation Bar Mode: You can choose the position of the on-screen navigation bar based on the vehicle’s driver orientation.Left rudder – Recommended for left-hand-drive vehicles.

Right rudder – Recommended for right-hand-drive vehicles. This ensures easier reach and more comfortable operation while driving.

 

Display Mode: Choose how the system’s interface appears under different lighting conditions. Options include:

● Light color mode – Bright interface suitable for daytime use

● Dark mode – Dimmer interface ideal for nighttime driving

● Headlight signal – Automatically switches to dark mode when vehicle headlights are turned on

● Timing start – Automatically switches display mode based on scheduled times

These modes help reduce glare and improve screen visibility.

 

Brightness Adjustment: Adjust the screen brightness using the slider.

Wallpaper Settings: Tap to enter the wallpaper selection page and choose from built-in wallpapers (3D Scenes) to personalize the home screen.

ScreenSaver Settings: You can customize the screensaver style and activation time.

Font Setting: You can adjust the overall font size of the system interface:

 

 

30.4 Sound

The Sound section allows users to manage different audio behaviors of Android head unit, including media volume, navigation volume mixing, reversing volume reduction, phone call volume, and system default volume settings.

● Media Volume When Navigation Is Playing: This feature adjusts how much the media volume is reduced when navigation voice guidance is played.

● Media Volume When Reversing: Adjust how much the media volume decreases when the vehicle is in Reverse gear.

● Media Volume: Use the slider to adjust the current media playback volume. This setting affects music, video, radio, and all other media outputs.

● Navi Gain: Adjust the gain (volume boost) for navigation voice prompts.

● Telephone Volume: Adjust the call volume during phone calls.

○ This only affects call audio

○ It does not affect media volume or system volume

● Default Volume: This option sets the startup media volume after the device is rebooted.

 

System Default Volume Logic

1.  If Default Volume is set to 20, and you change Media Volume to any other number, after power-off and reboot, Media Volume will return to 20.

2.  If the Default Volume setting matches the current Media Volume, then after reboot, both values remain the same.

3.  For example:

a.  Default Volume = 40

b.  Media Volume manually set to 40

c.  After reboot → Media Volume stays at 40

This prevents unexpected loud volumes on startup and ensures a consistent audio experience.

 

 

30.5 System

The System Settings section allows you to configure core system-level options on the Android head unit, including date & time, input methods, language, factory reset, and system updates. These settings ensure the device operates according to the user’s regional preferences and can be restored or updated when needed.

 

 

30.5.1 Date & Time Settings:

Configure the system clock, date, and time zone.

Available options:

● Set Date and Time – Manually adjust the current date and time.

● Time Zone – Select your preferred time zone (e.g., GMT+08:00).

● Use Default Language Region – Automatically applies date and time formats based on the selected language/region.

● Use 24-hour Clock – Enable or disable the 24-hour display format.

● Synchronize Network Time – Automatically syncs time via network connection.

● Synchronize GPS Time – Syncs time using GPS signals (if supported).

These settings ensure accurate time display for navigation, apps, logs, and system functions.

 

30.5.2 Language Settings

Choose the display language for the head unit.

● Tap Language settings

● Select your preferred system language from the list (e.g., English, Spanish, French, etc.)

 

30.5.3 Input Method Settings

Select and configure the keyboard used for typing.

● Tap Input method settings

● Choose from available keyboards (e.g., Gboard)

30.5.4 Clear All Data (Factory Reset)

Restore the system to factory default state.

● Tap Clear all data > Reset

● This will erase all personal data, installed apps, Wi-Fi settings, Bluetooth pairings, and system customizations.

Warning: Factory reset is irreversible. Back up important data before performing a reset.

 

30.5.5 Wireless Update

Check for and install new firmware updates online.

● Requires an active Wi-Fi or mobile network connection.

● Ensures your system receives the latest features, improvements, and bug fixes.

 

30.6.6 Local Update

Update the device system using a local firmware package stored on USB storage.

● Copy the update file to a USB flash drive.

● Insert the USB flash drive into the head unit.

● Follow on-screen prompts to complete the upgrade.

This is useful when wireless updates are unavailable or when manually applying a specific firmware version.

31.1 Apps

The Apps section allows users to manage all applications installed on the Android head unit. This includes viewing installed apps, setting default apps, checking unused apps, and configuring special app permissions for enhanced control and personalization.

 

 

31.1.1 All Apps

Displays a complete list of all applications installed on the Android head unit.

Function:

● View all installed apps

● Check storage usage, permissions, notifications, and data usage per app

● Uninstall or disable apps (if supported)

Useful when managing system performance or troubleshooting application issues.

 

31.1.2 Default Apps

Allows you to set which application should be used by default for specific actions. Examples:

● Set Chrome as the default browser: all links will automatically open in Chrome

● Choose a default navigation app

● Select a default phone or messaging app

Function: Ensures consistent behavior when opening links, files, or performing certain actions.

 

31.1.3 Unused Apps

Shows applications that have not been used for an extended period.

Function:

● Helps identify apps you may no longer need

● Can be used to free storage or improve system efficiency

If there are no unused apps, this page will display “0 unused apps”.
