After almost a year of owning and using this radio here is my review.Good budget double din but has some flaws. This radio is best at doing one thing or another, not multiple things at once. Since this is based on Android you have access to the Google Play store and can use android apps. However the hardware will result in lagging apps if multiple are used at one time like having Spotify open and using Google maps.With that said, if you plan on using this with just Android Auto/apple car play then it works good, with that being said it also has some flaws, like intermittently it will connect with my android phone and then never load android auto, requiring a reboot of the head unit.I've tested cheaper android auto head units and this one is far superior even with the minor flaws, but it works as it should and would definitely buy again. But my next purchase of a head unit is going to be a higher speced unit from ATOTO as I'm still happy with the product.

Installed this android based stereo into my Ram Promaster Van. It is vastly superior to anything factory. The screen is bright and the added functionality of a backup camera (that auto-turns on when in reverse) is a must have. The stock speakers instantly sound better from the extra power.I appreciate the physical buttons on this unit, as it allows easy access to the most commonly used items like volume controls and home screen. This makes it great for the passenger to be able to reach and control as well as the driver. It is worth noting that this is not exactly plug and play replacement in my model vehicle, as you need to leverage something like the Maestro companion hardware to make it continue to work with the factory steering wheel controls and computers built into the van. I will say it is worth the extra expense and slight cabling work to have this functionality. After the full install i retained my swc - steering wheel controls, and programmable to work as i want, including launching the CHAT/Ai on the unit. Having modern comforts on an older vehicle is very nice. Arguably more functions and features then any current factory units.Now for the reason it's not 5 stars - The screen is bright, vibrant and great resolution, but my one complaint is that is it very shiny/reflective. Maybe a matte screen protector may take it down a notch, but it currently does reflect a lot of in-cabin items onto it when in full sun. Secondly, the interface and android layout and controls are great, but a little laggy at times. It's not a deal breaker and I am still fully able to launch and use all the apps i want, but it is not as "snappy" as a high-powered phone may be. The things you do every day like using the radio and maps are good.

This is the second Atoto A5L I've installed, and I've been very happy with both. Not only do I like the radios but I have found the support very helpful. On my second install I wasn't sure how to hookup my steering wheel controls with the interface I had purchased from another company. I wrote to Atoto to see if they could clear up my confusion, and they responded right away. Not only was their reply clear and precise, but they even checked back with me to make sure it was working out properly. That is the mark of a company that wants to keep your business.Dan

Works really well. No issues at all. Not easy to install it mr2 sypder; or it could just be me.

I have run this single unit on two vehicles, the first was totaled moved it to my excursion with 12" subs and 1200 watt amp. First vehicle had a single 10 with built in amp. This radio works well with both, I did install the single rca sub line to dual cord to use atotos sub output line, and it works great.
