Got this in just two days and wow. It just plugged in and worked!! I streamed NetFlix and YouTube in minutes on my 2025 RAM 3500. Couldn't get OBD II working on the first try. I'll try on an older vehicle and see if it makes a difference. Overall this is a nifty little device.

The AI car box is an amazing device that transforms your cars info screen into a useful tablet! It is designed to transform a wired Carplay/Android Auto connection to wireless. It successfully does that and much more!Connections: There are so many options to hook up to every car easily. There is also a cable that will allow you to add extra power to the unit through a cigarette lighter plug, but I did not need the extra power. All I had to do was connect the box to my USB port and it automatically started up and connected to my car. Within a minute I could see the main screen of the box and all the options.Wireless Connection: I have an E-Golf and it is a wired only connection. This box makes it so easy to connect wirelessly! All I had to do was connect my Bluetooth to the box and now every time I get into my car it connects automatically. There is a button on the screen for Carplay and Android Auto. I chose Android Auto and it connects fast and seamlessly. I love being able to leave the phone in my pocket while driving and not having cords all over the car. Much cleaner and nicer!OBDII Reader and App: A bonus with this package is that it comes with an OBDII reader to check diagnostics on your car. All you do is plug it into the OBDII port, connect via bluetooth on the screen and then open up the app. Now you can access vital information and diagnostic data on your car. Fault codes can be scanned and cleared. This is an amazing device and I am glad they included it in the package.DriveChat: This is another cool feature that allows you to interact with AI. You can ask questions and get information quickly and easily. You do need to set up a free account first and install an app on your phone, but after I did that the rest was easy. Now when I am driving I have AI at my fingertips without having to pull my phone out of my pocket. Much safer and easier!Other Features: There are also more apps pre-installed. There is also Google Play so you can download more apps. You can play music and make phone calls from the screen too! You can change the background, and adjust other aspects of the screen just like you would a tablet. There is also an SD card slot for expansion and and HDMI port for an additional screen.This box has been a game changer for me in my vehicle. No more cords and mess. No more plugging in my phone by wire to the car. Just a fast, easy connection when I start driving.

Now that I have lived with this wireless adapter for a few days, I think it's fair to say that I really like this product. I installed the wireless adapter in my 2021 Honda Odyssey that only supports wired Carpay and Android auto. The instruction that came with the unit is bare minimal but I guess there's really not much to do besides connecting it to the usb data port. It comes with a usb power injector cable which I never knew exists, for cars with weak USB power delivery. My car does not need it so I'm not sure how well it works.The adapter itself runs on an Android rom but connects to the car using Carplay connection. It takes about 4-5 seconds to load into the default Android screen, which includes several native Android apps including Netflix and Youtube. I was able to login to my Google account and Netflix account using my home Wifi connection while parked in the driveway. Everything works as expected but I'm not sure how useful they are while on the road since you'll need to use your phone as the hotspot for data, I believe.Both my son and myself drove the car during the past few days. I have a Samsung Galaxy and my son uses an iPhone. Using the wireless Android Auto and Carplay is just like any factory system, using your phone to pair with the unit, acknowledging connecting to it as a new Carplay/Android Auto device, and that's it. On the home screen, there are both Carplay and Android auto apps to allow you to launch them, and from Android Auto's app screen, there's also an app that brings you back to the unit's home screen. Everything works like a factory system otherwise. It may be a bit slower since the unit will have to boot into its native system before it can accept Android Auto/Carplay connections.The unit also came with a ODB II dongle that allows you to scan your car directly from the built-in app (Torque OBD is pre-installed). It also has a HDMI out whcih I intend to test with my van's entertainment system. I will update the review once I have chance to try both features.
