I had the F7 7-inch in our '02 Yukon and loved it. Saw the new 9-inch version and wanted to give it a try as I had another car that could use the 7-inch one. Wow! What a great upgrade. (See comparison photos of both models installed). Love the bigger screen and many improvements, including: bottom row mechanical buttons replaced with responsive touch buttons, USB connector on front panel gone and replaced with cable, so you can locate external storage anywhere. This makes the front panel sleek with no connectors or other mechanicals. The interface seems quicker, more responsive and better organized.The old 7-inch Atoto connectors plugged right into the 9-inch unit, so no wiring tweaks required at all.Installing was a challenge due to the bigger screen and the Yukon dash, that is originally 1.5 din. When I first got the 7-inch. I bought a replacement bezel to handle its double-din size, but when I went to install the 9-inch into that bezel, I was confused at first how to do it, trying to put the unit into the dash without the bezel. The bezel has always gone over the units after they are installed. Finally figured out best way is to just install the 9-inch unit through the double-din cut-out in the bezel itself. The unit and double-din brackets slide tightly through the cut-out, then I just added the enclosed L-brackets on the back side of the bezel to trap and secure it firmly in place. You have to be careful handling the whole bezel/unit rig, but once you start to fit it all into the dash, there's enough room to reach behind the unit to connect all the wires - and there are a bunch of 'em! Once you push everything in place the unit sits as flush as possible and looks great. After that learning curve, I would say installing that bigger unit is a breeze - so, five stars for installation.As you can see in the photos the screen is so big it hangs over and covers the top of the HVAC controls. I'm fine with this, because I know what the HVAC controls do and they're still accessible and work as they should. I could raise the unit up a bit to get full view of the HVAC controls, but that would start to put it above the top of the dash and I prefer how it sits flush it instead. Either way has a trade-off - but the pay-off is worth it.Totally glad I did this upgrade. I was always a hardcore Pioneer fan, but I'm liking Atoto products more and more - solid products at a very good price.

The display is crisp with vivid colors, making navigation through maps, music, and other applications a breeze. The touch response is snappy, which is essential for on-the-move operation. Audio quality is impressive, with clear sound both for music and calls. Installation was straightforward, and the design blends in nicely with most car interiors. The build quality feels premium. Nice large screen that’s great for navigation

For the size of the screen, and its capabilities, its hard to complain too much about what you're getting here. As long as you have the correct harness, wiring it up with the included one isn't difficult. Just time consuming.A bit of advice: get some solder seal wire connectors. They make this part go quickly. As far as physical installation, its different than a simple double DIN install. You'll need to use the included mounting cage, which makes for some reverse engineering. Take your time, check the minimum clearance for your dash. On the plus side, for me, I didn't need an aftermarket dash kit. I used the metal OEM radio mounts, just transferred them to the ATOTO cage, slid it through from the back and connected the HU. A little unconventional, but its a big screen.PROS:- Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto- Large, fairly responsive touchscreen- Really brings out the sound in stock speakers- Looks good mounted. Doesn't interfere with AC vents, hazard lights, etc.- Built in microphone sounds good enough (though an optional wired one is included)CONS:- SWC (steering wheel controls)For the life of me, I simply cannot get my SWC to work. I have tried multiple adapters from Crux, Axxess, Scosche and PAC. None of them work. Or at least I haven't been able to get them to. Still troubleshooting with a specific wiring harness for my truck, also tinkering with a 390 ohm resistor to bump up the ohms/voltage in the resistive wires in hopes it will give just enough juice. Will update when done.- Sometimes loses settings. This especially goes back to the SWC. Sometimes some of the buttons work, most of the time they go haywire and just do their own bidding. I've lost radio presets on occasion, for no apparent reason. Which brings me to the other bugaboo:- Screen goes dark intermittently. Not sure why. Sometimes when braking. I would hook up the VSS cable to see if this is an issue, but there doesn't seem to be on on the ATOTO HU. Thought it might have something to do with the connections, or the rear view camera, but have since rewired them to make sure.- Screen not near bright enough. Despite playing around with settings, I never can get the screen to be as bright and color-rich as I'd hoped. During the day, it always looks -- a little washed out. Hopefully ATOTO, if you see this, please send a firmware update, if possible.- The last thing - might be a "me" problem. Despite the description, I cannot get the radio to play while using CarPlay for maps. My previous ATOTO unit did this. Maybe its a setting I'm not seeing, but I've yet gotten it to work.____________________________SUMMARY: Obviously, this won't be everyone's experience. Makes models vary, and will have different experiences and issues. If your vehicle isn't equipped with SWC already, then some of the cons won't affect you at all. ATOTO sells a really cool watchband style remote that either straps around, or sticks to your steering wheel. If all else fails, its at least a last resort. I personally didn't want any more buttons/obstructions on my steering wheel.Would I buy it again? Well, this is my 3rd ATOTO purchase. They all seem to have their quirks. I would probably try my luck in another make of vehicle, but not a Nissan. If CarPlay/AA, even WIRELESS, is a must have for you, and you want to try a bigger screen, its really hard to beat anything else for under $180.

Received this afternoon at 3:00 PM. Purchased to replace a Kenwood in my Class C RV (Ford E450). By 6:00 PM, I'm connected to my phone, playing Spotify. Had to purchase an adapter harness to connect to my vehicle. Bought that at Walmart for $15. What a breeze!
