Near perfect Android auto and carplay experience!

I installed the Atoto S8 over the holiday weekend. Since I have the older Atoto stereo already, it was a fast and simple install. Atoto does think ahead and labels each wire to make it simple and easy.I was blown away immediately at how fast and snappy the interface is. It makes the experience of using the Apple carplay enjoyable. My older one, there is a noticeable lag, but with this one, its fast! It almost seem like my Iphone speed. The viewing angle is pretty good for my stereo location, and I didn’t have any issues with it recognizing my touch.The wireless carplay was really important to me, and it just had to simply work each and every time. It absolutely did. I get in the car and carplay works each time without me messing with it. Atoto is really good about this. I had other brands where I had to futz around with wireless carplay all the time, and since the other brand did not use the standard DIN size, I had to cut the opening before. I don’t with Atoto, so I knew to stay with Atoto.The built-in mic works well, and people say its an improvement in voice quality, not a much road noise.Oscilloscope testing:1k Hz at 0 Db - RCA output – full volume 36 with NO distortion. Pretty good!1k Hz at 0 Db - Speaker only output – no distortion at volume 29, but at 30 it starts to distort. Max volume is 36.The bad:- distorts earlier than I would like if using speaker. I use RCA outputs so this is no biggie.- the screen initially was tacky and my fingers did not slide as easily, but the 2 provided screen protector helped.- for me, it blocks the bottom 1/3 of a few buttons for the A/C due to its size. I wanted bigger and accept this.Overall, if you are looking for an Android stereo that just simply works with wireless carplay every single time, this is it. I wanted a bigger screen and faster response. This stereo fits my criteria. This is my third Atoto stereo, and I wont use other ones out there. I would score it a 4.8 out of 5. It is near perfect.

Pretty good

Works well, I wish the touch buttons on the bottom of the screen lit up. It's hard to adjust the volume in the dark.Installed easily.
