Replaced an existing Atoto head unit. I've only been using the new unit for 10 days now but my experience so far has been fantastic.The unit is quick to boot up, the hands free calling is more than I expected. The communication is clearer than before, also no microphone hanging from the headliner.The music playback from the Micro SD card on the A5L displays more information on the selected music than the prior unit.The GPS function is superior also. Comes on automatically in wireless mode.So far extremely satisfied with this unit.Definitely recommend this head unit

This is my second ATOTO radio, and it’s a lot of features for a the price. The build is sturdy and the physical buttons feel very responsive.Installation Tip: I used a Metra dash kit, but I had to file down the notches on the inner frame to fit the ATOTO's thicker bezel. Once I did that, it fit however the frame sticks out a little.Cameras: The dash cam is crystal clear. The backup camera has a fisheye lens, which gives a great wide-angle view for blind spots. Both were easy to set up right out of the box. Night vision looks solid too.Performance: Wireless CarPlay has worked well using the Zlink app. After the first sync, it now connects very quickly. The screen is readable in direct sunlight and the boot time is reasonably fast. I have not tried the built-in GPS as it requires Wi-Fi for Google maps..Audio: Sound is good and the number of EQ frequency adjustments are almost overkill—there are tons of ways to tune it.Overall: So far, so good! I’ll update this later if anything changes.

I have had several of the F7 and F7W series units, and they have all been really great. I was a little hesitant to leave the self-contained Linux operating system of the 7 series, but I wanted a few more features. This unit fits the bill perfectly, it's sleek with a bright interface and weighs in at a decent price. Instructions are not the greatest, but if you've put ATOTO units in before it's not an issue. If you are coming from a 7 series you will need to purchase another wiring harness, as the 7 harness isn't a direct swap with this one. Beyond that, the sound is really an upgrade, it has more bands on the EQ and evidently a better DAC. I can hear the difference. I read other reviewers say the reverse camera is a little grainy, so I just stayed with my existing one- but the dash cam is very clear. I'll be honest- this thing has so many features that I've barely scratched the surface of what it will do, but it does the basic things I need easily (CarPlay connect, good phone connection), so I got up and running quickly. Some have mentioned it being slow, I haven't noticed that beyond the initial start up. But again- I'm not using a lot of the features at this point so YMMV.All in all, very pleased with this unit. Nice job again, ATOTO!One more plus... I know it's a small detail, but ATOTO continues to keep the SD card slot on the face of these units. That's something that's very hard to find in any other brand. Sure, you can use a USB thumb drive, but no matter how small it is it will still stick out from the face. The SD slot allows me to have almost a hundred albums with me at all times, independent of my phone, and it's not even visible unless you know where to look. It's the little things that keep me coming back.

3 of 5 stars because of the following: Clear display, good touch screen, lots of features, compact unit that will fit any double din opening. In regards to the feautures of this unit, you'll need a PhD from NASA to figure it out! There are NO instructions on how to operate this unit! If you are not familiar with auto stereo system installation, I do not recommend this product...zero instructions! I've been installing auto sound systems for over 25yrs, and it literally took me almost 2 days to get it working properly (along with all the other fetures). Rear view cam is ok, but you'll have to play with the unit to firgure out the proper settings and display lines (again, ZERO intructions on how to do it). CarPlay/Android Auto is a headache to figure out in order to get it working properly (again, NO instructions). It took me almost 6hr to get the CarPlay/Android Auto to work properly. In regards to sound, I'll rate it a 3 of 5...it does have a built in EQ, but the sound is not that impressive. You'll need to get an external amp in order to get real good sound out of this unit. It does have a lot of other features, but because there are no instruction on how to operate them, you'll need to have a lot of patient to figure them out. This is NOT a plug-n-play type of unit. In regards to outgoing/incoming calls, the mic is mediocre, and the sounds is as well. IF this unit had a full and complete instructions on how to set/operate the unit, AND, how to use all the other features, I would've given it a 4 star. I might change my rating to a 4 star IF this unit holds up and doesn't die on me...we'll see in the next couple of months. So far its only been a couple of weeks since I installed it on my 2002 Toyota Tacoma.
