Picked up this unit to update my older F7. So far I’m loving the bright display, user interface and it connects to my phone faster than the older unit. It was easy to pair once downloading the app and has no problem working with the latest CarPlay.

This is a great value. I installed it in a 1992 Suzuki Sidekick that we use to travel locally. The installation was simple and everything worked as expected. Android auto connects automatically every time. The instructions for the app to connect android auto was vague and it took a little bit of searching to find the correct one. Otherwise it's an amazing head unit for the price. I replaced a Pioneer single din unit and the sound quality is much better with the Atoto which was a big surprise. I do wish I could connect an external microphone for telephone calls but for the price I am really impressed. I would have given it 5 stars if I didn't have to search for the correct app. I originally gave it a 4 star app because I tried to find the app on the screen of the unit instead of looking at the manual which said use the Zlink5 app. If you use that it will work with no issues at all.

It’s works great able to customize a lot

A good value in double-DIN auto head-units! This ATOTO 7" head unit is an affordable and good sounding infotainment system with navigation. It was pretty straightforward to install as ATOTO used the standard color coded wires as my previous unit, so it was simple to match wire color to wire color. I do recommend using the external mic connection present on the connector otherwise reserved for aftermarket subs or amplifiers, I originally didn't connect that batch of wires thinking I didn't need them since I am using the stock speakers, however the external mic connector is bundled with those RCA jacks, the integrated mic didn't work well in my application, where people I was on the phone with would complain that the sound quality was very poor. Once I connected the external mic that I was using with my previous unit the sound quality was much improved and I get no complaints. It is essential to enable network sharing over BT on your phone for this unit to perform as expected. Once I allowed it in my phone's settings the system's software activated automatically, no need to scan the QR code or manually activate. In my opinion the way to use this system is with Android Auto or Carplay, the included apps seem like placeholders, with the display failing to show any relevant info for currently playing media etc. The display is made of rather soft plastic, so be careful not to scratch it during installation. I had a left over screen protector for another ATOTO unit I had several years ago, so I applied it to the screen to extend it's life. I have had a few instances where the BT audio would experience dropouts, or not resume playing after a phone call, but those have been rare, and restarting my phone or the head-unit would correct the issue. I expect a future update will resolve these rare issues. If you're looking to update your older vehicle's radio/navigation on a budget I can recommend this unit from ATOTO, it is solidly built and sounds great!

this is the second Atoto unit I've personally had but Ive also installed it in most of my families cars. the screen quality is amazing and when i'm sitting in my car on lunch break or waiting to pick someone up I tend to watch a couple videos or even browse the web which is why I love it runs on Android. Reverse camera starts up immediately when put into reverse even if the unit hasn't gone through its whole power up process. I can still only give it 4 stars for some small but frustrating things. first, there’s no physical track buttons, only touch controls on the screen. That might not seem like a big deal, but it makes skipping tracks while driving less safe and less convenient. A simple tactile button would’ve gone a long way for usability on the road. and secondly the actual android apps and the Ai companion app would crash a fair amount. it seemed to get a little better with longer use but you'd still get a crash out here and there. with these issues I still recommend it and besides the track buttons the other errors could be fixed with firmware
