Love this unit, not very fond of the name ATOTO

The ATOTO 9 inch 64k was the head unit. I chose over three other upper mid name brand units tested!Beautiful led 9” easy to navigate menu & settings on screen, quick connection to iPhone Wi-Fi. Home screen has no great choices for background choices.!Other than that, I have to say I’m very satisfied! with my choice as far as price comparison. , definitely has nothing compared to it in priceI

Exceptional quality radio

Ready to replace your factory radio? This is the unit you need. I’ve had dozens of different radios in my vehicles, and hands down this is the best one ever. This thing has every available option and some. First of all, the WiFi is amazing. It will link to the hotspot on your phone. After linking it one time, you’re done. It will link back every time you start the vehicle. Once it links, you can use any app including YouTube, YouTube TV, Prime Video, Netflix and so many more. It doesn’t buffer like other units I’ve had. Now let’s talk about CarPlay and Android Auto. I have both types of phones and it will recognize both. And it links back to either phone really fast. It also has Siri or the Alexa app which is great. I can control the smart features in my home while driving. I use Alexa quite often to make sure my garage doors are closed. I’ll say “Alexa, show me my front shop camera “ and the camera shows up within a few seconds. Maybe I’m old school. But this system is basically a computer in your vehicle and so many functions at the touch of my finger. Now let’s talk about the sound. I was using my factory speakers in my 2003 Ranger at first. The sound wasn’t bad. So I decided to upgrade all four speakers. Wow, even better. With the added features of this unit like the equalizer and the other options including stereo enhancements, time corrections, bass boost and phase adjustments, the sound you are looking for can be obtained. This unit has so many features, it would take me page after page to go over all features. As far as installation goes, it was pretty simple for me but I’ve been a body technician for over 40 years and I’m an electronics guru. It’s pretty straightforward on the wiring. Match the color to your factory harness and it’s done. I used the butt connectors that have solder and shrink tube to connect all my wires. The unit has connections for your amp and subs but I’m not using any speakers other than my upgraded factory speakers. I did mount the unit pretty solid just to help prevent theft. So if you can follow a wiring diagram and can be somewhat creative in the mounting process, you’ll ace the installation. It’s actually pretty simple. Now the costs. For $250, I don’t think you can find a better quality and feature packed unit. I’m sure I’m not touching all the questions you might have. Just speaking from my experience, you can’t go wrong. Go ahead and get you one. You will not regret it. I will purchase more Atotozone products for my next vehicle. As a matter of fact, I’m thinking about buying a larger unit for my motorhome. Atotozone, help me out here. I need a ten inch in dash unit to replace my unit in my motorhome.Ok, my final thought, being serious, I don’t think you can find a better unit even for twice the cost. So go ahead and upgrade that old junky factory unit. Oh I forgot to mention that it’s also available in a seven inch version and it comes in both single and double din. Thanks for reading my review and as always, Live, Love and Laugh.

Great Unit!!!

This is a huge upgrade from my previous atoto F7! The F7 is a great unit for Android auto but this A6 has an android OS, so all of the apps you want can be downloaded right from the play store. The display looks amazing and the sound quality is much improved over the F7. This unit is a great value for the money. Android auto still works great, but it is nice to have the ability to use traditional android apps that dont work with Android auto. My phone auto connects to the unit and boots up quickly! I would definitely rec. This Atoto A6 for anyone looking to upgrade their car stereo!

Great upgrade to any vehicle

Installation: Since I had a previously installed Atoto head unit the installation was not super difficult. I had to swap a few wires but all in all it was fairly easy to put in. The challenge for me was using the previous dash kit with this one. Was a little trial and error trying to get the right depth of the cage.Likes: There is a lot I like about this unit. For starters the size of the screen is a plus as it is about 3 in bigger than the prior A6 I had installed. I think in the video I stated it was 10.1 in but I misspoke. It is actually 9 in but still larger than the 6in of the previous unit. The screen also seems to be a lot brighter as well. Another thing I noticed with this unit is when scrolling there is no lag, which is something I experienced with the other unit. I feel scrolling and moving from one screen to the next is very smooth. I also like that the touch buttons on the screen are along the bottom as opposed to the side. I always had difficulty hitting the tight buttons when they were on the side of the unit. As far as the functionality of the unit it works almost identical to my original A6. Connecting my phone to carplay was a breeze. Wifi works great when connected to my phone’s hotspot. I do like the added ability to insert a sim card to make this constantly connected to data if desired. Another thing I do like about this unit is the ability to adjust just about every setting. The equilizer adjustment can be set to preset settings or can be adjusted to meet your preferences. Don’t expect an improvement in sound quality but when compared to my stock radio I have been able to adjust the eq to my liking.Dislike: There are a few things I don’t like, and maybe a firmware update or software update could fix it but like my previous Atoto unit, some of the preinstalled apps do not work properly. The atoto app store crashes and I am unable to use that app, so I have needed to revert to manually adding apps through other methods. Another thing that has been frustrating is getting the wired internet connection to work through Atoto’s carbitlink app. You are supposed to be able to share the internet connection through a wired connection. I was able to use that feature on my previous Atoto unit until it stopped working, I was hoping that problem would have been remedied with this newer unit, but unfortunately it has not worked for me. Minus those small issues I don’t really have any other complaints. All in all this Atoto unit is a great upgrade to any vehicle. You cannot go wrong. Having the option for complete customization as well as other options you don’t get with stock head units makes this a buy for me. You definitely will be satisfied with this purchase.

WOW very impressed with the A6 9-inch head unit

I wanted to install a touch screen head unit in my girlfriend's 1996 Lexus ES300, so we started shopping around all the local big box stores - checked out all the top name brands, Sony, Pioneer, etc, etc. We also visited some local stereo stores as well, but nothing really grabbed me as far as looks or functionality. The 7" Sony was probably the nicest of what we saw locally, but it just seemed kinda bland to me in some ways and also cost was rather high given its feature set. After shopping around town for a week or so, just nothing seemed to really feel like a good match. My buddy had a 7" Sony in his truck and he let us check it out. Again, it was very nice and sounded great (he had some large amps also), but for the high cost it just seemed like it was really over priced for what you got and maybe was overkill for what I was trying to accomplish for my girlfriend in her ES300.Another thing was that wireless Apple car play was important; we wanted wireless, not just wired (which is what many units are limited to). I watched lots of videos on YouTube to try to better understand how Apple Car Play works and how all these these 7 inch head units compare and function. It's a lot to get up to speed on and my girlfriend is Latina also, so that also adds some additionally complexity to the job too, "why this taking so long? Don't you love me??? Can't you just put this in the car in one day?"Baby, I got this...Interestingly, I subscribe to a channel on YT known as Toyota World Runners and they had recently built a nice off-road 4x4 rig; in some of their travel videos I had noticed that they had a kinda cool looking head unit in their dash that did GPS navigation maps real nice. I went back through their videos and found one showing the unit and was able to zoom in and make out that the name of the unit was ATOTO. Turns out, this was actually a brand mentioned in some of the reviews I had been watching online too.In the TWR videos, you could see the GPS map function looked really nice as they drove around. I started slowly researching ATOTO more and more and quickly became interested in it. True, there was no place to actually go see it locally, but in the videos on line it looked really nice and seemed very response with regard to the touch screen and interface. I also did a lot of reading on the forums, etc. and pretty soon the ATOTO A6 started to look like a very real possibility for this ES300 project.I checked prices at Amazon and was shocked to see that the ATOTO units could be had for a fraction of the cost of something like a Sony unit. At first the low price actually kind of concerned me, but after reading more on line it still seemed like people really loved their ATOTO head units. I mean with discounts and sales, we are talking maybe only $250 for a head unit - that's amazing. For that price (plus Amazon's return policy) I thought, "what the heck, let's give it a shot and see". I mean worse case I could always just return it. La Princesa agreed, so I decided we'd go with ATOTO.With regard to the Lexus ES300, it has a double din setup and there are adapter kits out there for installation. Originally I was gonna use the 7-inch ATOTO but after taking measurements, it seemed like the 9-inch would work and still allow access to all the heating and A/C buttons. Ended up going with the A6 9-inch unit. When it arrived, I was really impressed with the overall build quality and all the stuff in the kit.I'll tell you this.. installation took quite a while. I built all very high quality custom wiring harnesses (basically what you'd consider military grade stuff), so installation took me well over a week. Also, the 1996 ES300 has kind of a funky factory amp setup under the seat, so it took me some time to figure all that out and get the wiring under control. I ended up ditching the factory Lexus amp and was happy to realize the ATOTO came with its own internal amp to drive the speakers. After installing everything, I was shocked how good the 28 year old factory Lexus speakers sounded when powered by the ATOTO internal amps! Even running just 4 of ES speakers, when powered with the ATOTO amp, wow sounds really amazing! The overall functionality of the ATOTO touch screen is super nice. Also customer service from the company is quite good as well. I emailed ATOTO with a few questions along the way and they always wrote back with answers. The install on the Lexus turned out really nice too, although I didn't realize it would preclude use of the cup holders by going w/ the 9-inch unit (my bad) because it had to stick out a bit from being totally flush where the double din is. Had we gone with the 7 inch screen, the cup holders would still have enough room to accept cups, but I think having the 9-inch screen size is worth giving up the cup holders actually. The 9-inch screen size is just so nice and looks very cool poking out a bit.Overall, the speed and function of the ATOTO's interface is really fantastic and smooth....

Troubleshooting Steps for A6G209PL Car Stereo

Wireless Android Auto Connection Issues:

1) Check Compatibility: Ensure that your smartphone is compatible with wireless Android Auto and that both the Android Auto app and the head unit's firmware are updated to the latest versions. 2) Restart Devices: Simple restarts of both the smartphone and the head unit can often resolve temporary glitches. 3) Check Settings: On your phone, go into the Android Auto app settings and verify that the wireless connection option is enabled. Ensure that both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your phone and that it is not in Airplane mode. 4) Reset Network Settings: On your phone, consider resetting the network settings, which will erase all connectivity data and may fix connection issues (note that this will also erase saved Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth pairings). 5) Factory Reset Head Unit: If none of the above steps work, you might consider factory resetting the head unit, but be aware this will remove all settings and should be done as a last resort.

Wired Android Auto Connection Issues:

1) Compatibility Issues: Make sure that the smartphone being used is compatible with Android Auto. Most phones running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and up are compatible, but there could be exceptions. Check the official Android Auto website for a list of supported devices. 2) Cable Problems: Ensure the USB cable being used is of good quality and is designed for data transfer, not just charging. Try using a different cable or the one that came with the phone, if available. 3) Software Updates: Verify that both the A6 PL head unit firmware and the Android Auto app on the smartphone are updated to the latest versions. 4) Connection Settings: Double-check the smartphone settings to ensure that Android Auto is enabled. Under 'Settings' > 'Connected Devices' on the phone, confirm that the USB connection is set for file transfer/data transfer. 5) Reset and Restart: Try to reset the connection by disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable. Restart both the smartphone and the A6 PL head unit.
