This A5LG2B7T Double DIN, 7" HD Touchscreen, Supports CarPlay & Android Auto Car Stereo works very well. You do have to activate it on WiFi for the Android Auto app to run, but it works after that. I tested with Android auto both wireless and wired and it worked flawlessly. I also tested wireless Carplay and that worked well also. One limitation of both seems to be that there is no multi touch, so pinch to zoom is not available. You have to use zoom buttons on the apps. Wireless Android Auto or Carplay uses WiFi to communicate, so you can't connect to a hotspot at the same time.The sound is good, the screen is bright and clear. The touchscreen is responsive. It has lots and lots of features that will take days to explore. The audio DSP has more features than I have seen on any other stereo, with more EQ bands, and spatial audio features.There is a one big downside though. It is pretty compact, and probably due to the small size of the heatsinks, it gets very hot. I measured up to 57C at some spots and that is in the open air. If you put this in a dash panel with no air movement, especially in a hot climate, it could easily get so hot as to damage the circuitry or even damage the plastic in the dash. I put a 60mm 24V fan behind it, running at 12V. That was plenty of air to cool it down by 20 degrees C, and the fan was quiet. If a tiny fan were incorporated or the thermal fins were larger, this would be much cooler. It's a shame because this is a good device otherwise.The touchscreen face is not very oil resistant. You will have to clean it often.

The stereo comes loaded with many feature apps, such as YouTube, Spotify, and Chrome, which may appeal to some users. However, in my opinion, I prefer using my phone for all my media needs. While it’s nice to have these apps built into the head unit, I find myself sticking to my phone to access them instead.Overall, the ATOTO A5L offers excellent value for its price point, with its impressive boot speed, customizable features, and solid wireless connectivity. However, the setup process and some less functional features leave room for improvement. If you're tech-savvy and enjoy customizing your in-car experience, this is a great option to consider. My favorite part is that this stereo is under $200. ATOTO cares about their customers and has the best support. I am not always a huge fan of Android head units, but this one I am keeping. I took off one star because it isn't the easiest radio to set up with your phone. Also many of the Andrioid apps like the AI drive app still need some work.

I have been using ATOTO head units now since 2019 when they came out and love them. Currently, the A5L:2G+32G is probably the best bang for your buck if you're looking for a head unit with wireless CarPlay. Very impressed. Connection is rock solid and scrolling/ swiping is smooth and accurate. I will probably get another one for the other car as soon as my F7 isn't doing the job anymore. I installed this in my older Ford F-150, and it fits great. Overall, a fantastic head unit for anyone looking for wireless CarPlay without breaking the bank.
