System version: ATOTO AICE UI 11.0, developed and customized based on Android Q (10.0); System language: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, Arabic, Polish, Korean, Dutch, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Hebrew, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Chinese.
• DSP - preamplifier: the integrated digital signal processor allows for precise equalization setting, signal delay, bass boost, bass filter. Preset 9 EQ modes and 32 adjustable frequency bands (16 bands for the front and 16 for the rear). Maximum BTL amplifier 4 * 45 W built-in with RMS 4 * 24 W (Vcc = 14.4 V, THD = 10%);

• Phone mirroring and phone integration link: Phone mirroring - EasyConnect app pre-installed and supports operation with the latest iOS and Android devices (system firmware update may be required). Therefore, a specific HD reversing camera can be connected to S8 for 720P video display); 4-channel RCA audio output (2v) for connecting to factory - aftermarket amplifier; Separate subwoofer output (0.8 V); For S8 standard, no optical SPDIF output or fast charging interface is available; To connect to a headrest monitor, an additional ATOTO USB to HDMI or USB to RCA video output adapter is required (not included)
• One Micro SD slot - for storing media files and can read up to 512 GB memory card; (3 USB) interfaces for data communication, including reading USB drives (reading unlimited external storage devices, including portable SSD) and optional USB devices or phone integration linking (CP -AA);

Vehicle adaptation:

• Most dashboard mounting frame suppliers from North America can provide a double din mounting frame with an opening of 172 mm * 97 mm (Metra dash kit, PAC dash kit, etc.). ATOTO is the first to bring a 7-inch Android car radio with a minimum front panel size of 172 mm * 97 mm. An additional frame adapter to extend its size to 178 mm * 101.5 mm is also included in the package;

Internet access and installation of Android apps from Google Play Store

• Compared to S8 Gen1 (produced before January 2021), S8 Gen2 can provide up to 4 options for Internet access. (1). Connect to the phone hotspot via WiFi 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz; (2). Connect to the phone Bluetooth and enable Bluetooth tethering option, (3). Use phone data via USB network tethering function (a special feature of ATOTO. The EasyConnect app is required); (4). The built-in 4G cellular modem allows users to insert a SIM card with a data plan for Internet access and this option is only available on selected S8 models (excluding S8 Standard, Premium);
• Running online maps or streaming online music on the Android car stereo does not require high bandwidth (less than 200 kbps), the Bluetooth tethering connection is able to meet such a demand.
• Compared to WiFi connection, Bluetooth tethering has lower power consumption, so the phone's battery will last much longer while Bluetooth tethering is enabled;
• WiFi connection is simpler as it only requires one step: enable the phone's WLAN hotspot; Bluetooth connection requires 2-3 steps;
• USB network tethering is a new option introduced by ATOTO and allows users to share phone data with S8 via USB connection. This could help save the phone's battery or even slightly increase it; It is sufficient to run the specific EasyConnect application in the background;
• More than 1000 Google Play Store apps have been tested to be installable on the ATOTO S8 series, particularly media-entertainment apps and navigation apps in the "Cars and Vehicles" category. Very few app developers can specify devices-system environments to which they allow their apps to be installed or run, which results in the inability to install or run on an Android car stereo. Note: Some apps are not compatible with S8 (Gen2), for example, Netflix.

Android Car Stereo is not equivalent to putting an Android tablet in the vehicle. The ATOTO S8 has many custom inputs and outputs to work better in the vehicle.

• Connect to a specific ATOTO USB camera on the dash 1080P DVR for previewing and playing recorded video files;
• Connect to a specific ATOTO USB TPMS tire pressure monitoring system. When one or more tires are deflated, a warning will appear on the S8 screen and even emit a beep as a reminder;
• Connect to a backup camera with CVBS and HD video signal output for safe parking;
• Connect your Android/iOS smartphone via USB/WiFi and use EasyConnection to cast what's displayed on the phone to the S8 screen;
• Connect your iOS phone via USB or Bluetooth for wired or wireless CarPlay, Android Auto only works with a wired USB connection, which seamlessly integrates your smartphone (iPhone and Android) with the integrated S8 display and allows you to make calls, access your music, send and receive messages, get directions;
• Connect to an OBD II diagnostic scanner - engine code reader via Bluetooth; Compared to single Bluetooth, dual Bluetooth makes communication tasks between multiple Bluetooth connections more balanced and stable.
• Connect to headrest monitors using the ATOTO video output adapter (AC-AHV68: USB to HDMI adapter; AC-AHV48: USB to RCA adapter; both sold separately) and what is displayed on S8 can be synchronized with headrest monitors.

Dual Bluetooth chip inside, connectable to multiple Bluetooth-based devices, custom Bluetooth 5.0 and voice assistant interface

• Bluetooth 1 functions as a Bluetooth hands-free (call - answer) with A2DP audio streaming function. Contacts - recent records will sync once the smartphone is connected. Supports "Quick Search" and "Add to Favorites" for speed dialing!
• The built-in noise cancellation technology helps to suppress background noise and echo feedback in a hands-free call. You don't have to yell at the car stereo to talk to the other person.
• Bluetooth 2 not only works as Bluetooth Internet tethering, but also allows connection to Bluetooth gamepad (for children in the back seats), Bluetooth OBD2, Bluetooth TPMS, etc.;
• Thanks to the dual Bluetooth inside, the system allows users to connect up to 3 devices simultaneously (one for audio, two for data communication).
