Vehicle fit:

• This model features a 10.1-inch display and an adaptive single DIN and double DIN head unit housing. The dimension of its head unit housing is172 mm x 95 mm, and the dimension of its 10.1-inch screen is258 mm x 160 mm. It can be installed in most vehicles with a standard double DIN dashboard opening. For some vehicles, the edge of the 10.1-inch screen part may block the vent, emergency switch, or other buttons around the double DIN opening, causing inconvenience. Make sure yours will not have such issues, or you can accept them. Additionally, it applies the IAH10D style (integrated and adaptive head unit of a 10.1-inch screen), working with the vehicle-specific YO-FUNG installation dashboard kit (wire harness, data interface, mounting kit) for a more integrated factory and OEM stylish look. Access the internet and install Android apps from Google Play Store

• Compared to the S8 Gen1 (manufactured before January 2021), the S8 Gen2 can provide up to 4 Internet access options.(1). Connect to the phone hotspot via 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi; (2). Connect to the phone via Bluetooth and enable the Bluetooth tethering option, (3). Use phone data via the USB tethering function (an exclusive ATOTO feature. EasyConnect application is required); (4). The built-in 4G cellular modem allows users to insert a SIM card with a data plan for Internet access, and this option is only available on certain S8 models (except for S8 Standard, Premium, Lite);
• Running online maps or streaming online music on the Android car stereo does not require high bandwidth (less than 200 kb/s), Bluetooth connection can handle such a demand.
• Compared to the WiFi connection, Bluetooth tethering has lower power consumption, so the phone battery will last much longer as long as Bluetooth tethering is enabled;
• WiFi connection is easier as it only requires one step: turn on your phone's WLAN hotspot; Bluetooth connection requires 2 to 3 steps;
• USB network tethering is a new option introduced by ATOTO, allowing users to share phone data with S8 via a USB connection. This could help save phone battery, or even boost it slightly; You only need to run the specific EasyConnect app in the background;
• More than 1000 apps from Google Play Store have been tested to be installable on ATOTO S8 Series, especially multimedia/entertainment apps and navigation apps in the Auto & Vehicles category. Very few app developers may specify device/system environments allowed to install or run their apps, which leads to the inability to install or operate on an Android car stereo.
• Important: Some video streaming services (Netflix, AMZ Prime, Disney+, etc.) do not support MirrorLink.

Android Car Stereo is not equivalent to placing an Android tablet in the vehicle. The ATOTO S8 features many customized inputs and outputs to function better in the vehicle.

• Connect to a specific ATOTO USB 1080P DVR camera for on-dash preview and playback of recorded video files;
• Connect to a specific ATOTO USB TPMS tire pressure monitoring system. When one or more tires are under-inflated, it will display a quick warning on the S8 screen and even emit a quick tone as a reminder;
• Connect to a rearview camera with CVBS and HD video signal output for safe parking;
• Connect to your Android/iOS smartphone via USB/WiFi and use EasyConnection to stream what's displayed on the phone on the S8 screen;
• Connect to your iOS phone via USB or Bluetooth to run wired or wireless CarPlay; Android Auto only works with a wired USB connection, seamlessly integrating your smartphone (iPhone and Android) with the S8's built-in screen, allowing you to make phone calls, access your music, send and receive messages, and get directions;
• Connect to an OBD II diagnostic scanner/engine code reader via Bluetooth; Compared to single Bluetooth, dual Bluetooth makes communication tasks between multiple Bluetooth connections more balanced and stable.

Two Bluetooth chips inside, connectable to more Bluetooth devices

• Bluetooth 1 works as Bluetooth hands-free (call/response) with A2DP audio streaming function. Contacts/recent records will be synced once the smartphone is connected. Supports "Quick Search" and "Add to Favorites" for fast dialing!
