This CarPlay adapter is pretty handy! It turns your wired CarPlay into wireless, which is super convenient. It also has a built-in Android OS that lets you play YouTube, Netflix, Disney and other apps directly on your screen without mirroring your phone. You do need to log in through the device app for streaming, though.You can switch it to boot into normal CarPlay instead of the Android OS, which is a nice option. The screen quality through this device isn’t as sharp, vibrant, or dark as when using the native wired CarPlay from the stereo, but it’s still decent. Connection is a bit slower compared to my other wireless adapter, especially since I have it set to default to CarPlay mode.When using the Android OS for streaming, you need to connect your phone’s WiFi and Bluetooth. It takes a few steps, like turning on your phone’s hotspot, then making sure the stereo’s WiFi and Bluetooth are connected to your phone. Once everything is set up, streaming works great. Overall, it’s a versatile device, even with a few small drawbacks!

If you own a car that has not wireles apple or car play this is a all in one solution. The device just plug into the car usb and it will be recognized by the car as an android device. The set up it is a bit tricky and you need to be a bit patient. Your phone needs to first recognize the device and the first time took a bit but it did, once it is recognized and the phone can see it as a car play device is done. Here is how this device works, your phone will not connect directly to the car, the device will act as a "mirror" of your phone, in the car display you will get a menu similar to an android device, you need to choose what kind of phone are you using and after it synchs it will stream your phone on the car on the car's display. It is a cumbersome solution but it works, here are the drawbacks, the device projection is not as the same as your phone, you might see a lower video quality projection but this is not a big deal, you will get used to. The projection format might not fit 100% the display size, you might see some stretch compared with the original car play directly from the phone, again, you will get used to it. Other drawbacks are, some car function buttoms might not work, in my car the wheel volume button works but the back , pause, and forward buttom does not. Sound quality is the same as the one from the phone thought sometimes pause, I think this is based on feedback from other car integrated sounds but not completly sure, so this might depends on the model of your car and the compatibility with the current device firmware. Advantages, well you get an android device so you can download any app and it will be displayed on your car screen, you can watch youtube and other apps or play the full game. One odd thing is that the device does not come with google app store, you will have to download an app on your phone to completely control the device, I tried to downloaded from the manufactures website and I got denied or no install it, so this is something that they need to fix or you need to tweak your phone to accept 3rd party applications. Once the system is up and running, next time you get in the car it will connect automatically, it takes. a bit of time to connect, maybe a few seconds but it will. Overall it is a nice device but it built in some quirks that might not work for some users, it works as intened though. I like that you can for example watch news with video and sound straight on your car display but other things are not really compatible. I think it needs some refinements specially in the software side to control this device, but if you really want to watch youtube or display other apps does do not show on your android car play, this might be your device.
