Maps feature needs some updates

It works great. But the maps apps don’t work great at all times so you will have to use the CarPlay feature for that.

A Smart Upgrade for Car Entertainment

This playpen gives dogs a safe, roomy area to play without worry. The panels are sturdy, connect easily, and can be arranged in different shapes. The metal is coated for outdoor use and feels solid. Great for puppies, small dogs, or even rabbits. A practical and affordable solution for pet owners. Excellent sound quality and zero lag.

Powerful Android and OBD car diagnostics all in one!!!

Quite an upgrade. Has the Flash and RAM capacity to be full functioning Android. Includes built in GPS and SIM slots. It powers up fast. I had older units that took over the car screen that never quite had the power and speed. This unit has the regular google play store and loading apps works like normal. I was able to load Brave Browser which I prefer over other browsers. I use the browser to play rumble shows, see attached picture. The browser operates nice and fast. The streaming video and audio was perfect. The picture shows the video in regular browsing mode. If clicking to go full screen, the video does fill the complete white space of the browser. There is a special command button on the screen located on the upper area of the screen just to the right of center. The dot is faded so you can still see the content under the dot. Touching the dot pops up a command bar that allows you to select home, see all open windows, the back button, and few other things. In another attached picture, I show the Torque Pro app that is recommended to be used for the OBD2 car connector. The connector is tiny, just tiny bit larger than the OBD2 plug. It easily plugs into the car just under the dash near the steering column. Went into bluetooth settings and did the pairing of the device. I had to search a bit on the companies website (QR code) looking for the part number on the OBD2 bluetooth adapter. That is where I found the recommended software. It is available on play store and gives quite a bit of capability, though there is a fee to get more. In the picture, it shows one of the gauge screens. Speed and acceleration not showing since I was parked when taking the picture.Another picture shows another app I got from the play store for OBD diagnostics. Appears fairly popular and provides lots of diagnostic information. Again there is a pay upgrade for more stuff. Big thing is having access to diagnostic codes if something happens while traveling. I did not check if I could reset codes, but there are many apps available. Since this app works, I assume the adapter is ELM compatible. This OBD2 adapter was a big reason for selecting this particular item. One annoying thing is the DriveChat pops up occasionally to try to get permissions. Not sure I want that feature, but have not uninstalled it yet. For security, I only use a completely separate gmail address that keeps personal information off of this device. You need a gmail for the play store. I also don't like to load apps that I am not sure are secure on my regular cell phone, so many apps could have something bad hidden in them. This will be a device to run those apps since I cannot be sure the whole device isn't compromised somehow. Being a now name computer, I just don't know.Even though I do not have a SIM card installed, I got a cell phone style Emergency Alert at about the same time I got the alert on my regular cell phone. I assume I could also make emergence calls thru the device as well.I am not planning on getting cell service for this device, but will use the hotspot on my phone. If going on a long trip, I might get a SIM, or just activate the car hotspot for a month. I connected this device via wifi to the cell hotspot.Google maps is showing on the split screen when it first powers up. Nice feature having the split screen. I was able to split Brave browser with google maps, works nicely.I don't really like using android auto/carplay in the traditional way, so I did not check the wireless functionality of that feature. Once you have a full blown Android running in your dash, I don't need my phone. If I get a phone call, my phone is still connected to the car via bluetooth and will take over during the call.

Works great

This little box was just what I needed to access wireless Carplay in my SUV. I wasn't using my Carplay because I had to plug in my phone and it just wasn't convenient for me. This little gadget has totally changed the game!It does a lot of things that I probably won't ever use, but for real techies this could be a winner. You can install apps, stream video, and there is an OBD thing that I haven't tried yet -- but my son is itching to try it out! For this 65-year-old lady, installation was easy and straightforward, and it works well.Lots of features, fast and easy connection, and I think it is a good price given all of the things that it does. Recommended!

Far beyond any Carplay/AI Box/Android Auto ever.

I've used many different Wireless Carplay adapters and this one is by far the most capable and powerful.Let's get some things out of the way first:A wireless CarPlay adapter lets your phone connect to your car to use functions like Android Auto or Apple Carplay wirelessly. An AI box connects to your car and can provide some limited Android functionality as well as provide Android Auto/Carplay functionality. Think of it like an Android tablet in a kiosk mode where you can't make any significant changes. This device is an AI box on steroids and not in kiosk mode. I'm able to install just about any Android app on it and it still can provide Carplay functionality. It basically turned my smart console into a fully fledged Android smartphone. It's registered with the Play Store and comes with several special Car apps, I'll get to those in a sec. This device has a slot for a micro SD card and even a slot for a pSIM card. A trial SIM card is included with the package but I got it working with Mint Mobile (Make sure you add the APN settings).Having a full android interface on my car's dashboard has possibilities I can't imagine. I can't seem to add widgets natively, but there are homescreen apps that should allow you do do this. Nova Launcher comes to mind. But forget about that for a sec. I put the Ring Doorbell app on the device along side a couple of smart home apps and now don't need to fumble with my phone to disarm the security system when I arrive at home. I can also control the lights and all my other smart home devices from my car's dashboard. It's amazing. One of the first apps I installed was Kiwi browser. If you don't already know, Kiwi browser with the uBlock Origin extension completely blocks all youTube advertisements. It's the best.Second app was VLC player so I could play media stored on my SD card. After that came all my smarthome apps.I drive an electric car so the charging apps are going to be installed too.You don't really need to keep the SIM card in the device, I just enabled my phone's hotspot and that works just fine too. There's a bluetooth OBDII dongle that connects to this box that feeds real time car data to the box to display onscreen. This provides some very cool looking real time driving statistics to the dash if you want to open the app for it.About some of those pre-installed apps:there is some bloatware that can be uninstalled: (YouTube, Netflix etc) but there are two apps that I want to note that are pretty fun to play with. One is the AI chat bot that works like how Alexa was intended to work. You can control all the functions of the device using your car's voice command function and it will respond using some version of Chat GPT 3 to understand your command. It's far more powerful than Alexa or Siri and better than Deep Seek in that it will speak the responses back to you.Now it can be said that you can do all of this with the other AI boxes if you do some crazy rom hacking, but that brings me to another impressive thing about this box. The processor is fast. It's not gaming level fast, but previous AI boxes I've used in the past were horribly slow. Using the youTube app was a good benchmark and this device loads the pages with little delay.A couple of other apps that are installed are APK Pure which basically allows you to install anything you want even it it doesn't exist in the Play Store. Use it at your own risk. I installed some old video game emulators and can now play super mario on my car's infotainment screen using a bluetooth controller. Like I said, the possibilities are scary.I should note that you can do all this while driving so I'll say this: Drive safely and pay attention to the road.
