Our truck is an older model that works only with Android and not iPhone. We tried and failed to make it work with other products. So, I was skeptical about this one. But even though it said Android, it also mentioned CarPlay. I took a chance, and I am glad I did. This was easy to put together. And while we've not tried all the options available with the display, we got our phone to connect with it easily once we looked up the online manual (there is a QR code provided in the box materials). Music, maps, texts, and phone all worked perfectly via bluetooth on the phone. The screen is large enough to be helpful and easy to use without adding distraction. A great display for the price.

This portable CarPlay screen is a really cool upgrade if you want modern features without replacing your factory radio. The 9″ screen looks good, and the wireless CarPlay and Android Auto functionality make it feel much newer than the vehicle it is installed in. I also like that it supports features like YouTube, Netflix, GPS, mirror link, dual Bluetooth, and even includes a backup camera. For the price, there is a lot packed into this unit.The one big weakness is the built-in FM modulator. In my experience, it is not strong enough to rely on. The audio quality over FM is pretty poor, with lots of static and a weak signal. This may be more of a reflection on my poor 2005 factory Pontiac radio than this unit. The antenna is on the rear roof, and the signal just did not reach reliably. If your factory radio already has Bluetooth or an AUX input, this would be a much better setup and probably a great little upgrade. Unfortunately, if you are depending on the FM transmitter to get audio into an older factory radio, you may be disappointed.I am still giving it some grace because the screen itself and the overall functionality are pretty impressive. It does a lot of things right, and the concept is excellent. Just know going in that the FM modulator is the weak link. Use Bluetooth or AUX if your vehicle supports it, and you will probably have a much better experience.

This was a much-needed addition to my 2015 Explorer to add CarPlay without having to do a major, more expensive upgrade. The screen size is nice and responsive. I liked the mounting hardware it came with too, allowing me to use my dash. Setting up the Bluetooth connection was easy enough as well as WiFi using my mobile hotspot but I haven’t tried the 4g so I can’t speak to that. I also did not use the provided rear camera since I already have a backup camera but the addition of the front dash camera was a plus. Here’s what I do not like: price $$$ and this is the only reason for 4 stars. It is on the more expensive side compared to similar products but it also feels like a better quality. Some of those others just look cheap which deterred my decision and led me to this one. I would probably get this again and I would definitely recommend it if you have a vehicle without screen mirroring.
