Car Radio Upgrade

ATOTOEXCEL S8 MS 9 Inch Double DIN Android Car StereoI installed this stereo to upgrade an older vehicle system. The screen size made navigation and media easy to view. Touch response was smooth and menus were intuitive. Bluetooth connected quickly and stayed stable. Installation took time but was manageable with planning. This stereo modernized the driving experience and added useful features.

Huge responsive screen.

This is a top notch stereo with carplay. The 9 inch screen gives me a lot of real estate when utilizing the carplay as well as a great screen to watch youtube or movies on (when parked of course). The sound quality is great for my needs and I haven't run into any issues of concern yet. Overall this Atoto head unit has been a huge upgrade.

Good not great, needs more ram

To start: don't be like me! As soon as you peel off the factory screen wrap install one of the included screen protectors! I ended up with bubbles under mine from finger oils even after cleaning the screen.Also the screen is plastic and your fingers will slightly stick to it causing accidental button presses while swiping, the screen protectors help with this, especially the frosted one!This also needs more ram, in the system UI it is quick and snappy, when in wireless carplay it stutters a little and gets sluggish, for a higher end atoto unit I'm underwhelmed by that performance in carplay.That aside this unit is pretty great, they include everything you need including a trial data sim to use it stand alone without a phone! It's easy to wire up, the amplifier and eq sound great with higher quality car speakers hooked up, wireless carplay connects quickly and stays connected.It's a big bright screen that is sharp with vivid colors, easily viewable in the sunlight (I'm using the frosted screen protector which helps that)The buttons on the bottom are all responsive overall if you can get past a little sluggishness due to only 4gb of ram then it's an above average unit! Atoto usually does pretty good and this is no different.

Lifesaver if you drive a lot

I tried this Joying brand after swapping out my original unit, and WOW, Joying is awesome. Honestly, I thought all these head units were the same, but this brand seems a bit more refined. The larger screen size made it easier for daily driving since you could see your navigation and music controls at a quick glance. Wireless CarPlay connected quickly every time I started the car, and the touch response felt quick with little to no lag. Pretty easy to fit this on my dash. Clean and uncluttered! Radio quality is the same, but the quality of life is a huge positive difference.
