It was easier to install than I thought it would be, just followed the instructions every step. I’m blown away at the quality of this head unit and it doesn’t take up any space, no need to remove brackets or cut out pieces of metal to make it fit. Excellent head unit for the price!

I'm really happy with this A5L head unit, it has a lot of features and I love that it's running Android OS so I can add more apps to expand the functionality in the future. One of the things I love the most is how quickly it boots up. From starting the car, it's fully up and running almost instantly. This is because it's really just sleeping when the car is off so it basically just resumes when you start the car (it will fully shut down after 7 days to conserve battery). My old stereo would take like 30 seconds to boot up which was always kind of annoying. I also use Carplay and once set up it will launch Carplay automatically within a few more seconds which is really nice.The screen is also really bright and easy to see in bright daylight. This was actually one of the main reasons I wanted to replace my head unit. My previous one was pretty dim and whenever there was any glare it was really hard to see. This one doesn't have that issue at all, in full sunlight I can still see it fine even with my sunglasses on while driving. The touchscreen is also really responsive and doesn't have any lag when scrolling or clicking on things.It has a DSP (digital signal processor) which is really nice... it allows me to fine tune the sound for my vehicle (more than the usual pan and fade and a few presets). I don't have an amp yet, but have been thinking about getting a sub so I like that it has full control of the output levels for all channels including a sub and tunable crossovers which is really nice.I actually already had a Bluetooth OBDII dongle to scan my check engine codes, etc... but I was really excited that the A5L came with an app called Torque Pro which automatically connects to the OBDII reader to give me the ability to monitor all of my engine sensors as well as check engine codes. It was really easy to set up a custom dashboard with gauges to monitor all the other important engine temps and parameters I like to see while driving (especially transmission temp). I was already planning to buy this app, but was pleasantly surprised that it was already installed.I don't think I saw a mention of this in the description but I was happy to find that there was an option in the "factory" menu to enable a front camera. I have a front and rear camera on my vehicle so it was great to be able to retain my front camera and view it with the click of a button on the home screen (in additional to the rear camera automatically showing when in reverse).The home screen also has a lot of different themes to choose from. I wasn't a huge fan of the default theme, but found one that I liked. They all seem to have the ability to customize the icons shown which is really nice. I like to pin the icons for the apps that I use most frequently so I don't have to scroll through the whole list of apps while driving to find what I need.Installation was pretty straightforward, but I do have a lot of experience installing car stereos. All the wires are clearly labeled and the installation instructions are clear. All the needed hardware was included, but I do recommend buying a wiring harness adapter for your specific make and model of vehicle though... that will make it so you don't have to cut off your factory plugs and it makes installation a lot easier since you can solder or crimp all the cables together on your workbench rather than in the car. Then it's just a matter of plugging everything in once you get it in the car.I do have one tip for setting up carplay through the ZLINK5 app for the first time... the instructions tell you to not have the head unit connected to wifi, but I found the ZLINK5 app wouldn't work at first. Once I connected the head unit to wifi, ZLINK5 was able to do whatever it needed to to get set up... then I disconnected the head unit from wifi and tried the carplay set up again and it worked right away.Overall this is a really great head unit, especially for the price and prior experience with a different head unit, ATOTO support has been really helpful and responsive.

This is the second ATOTO stereo I have owned, and I'm very happy with the upgrade.Installation was straightforward, and the 7-inch wireless touchscreen is responsive and crystal clear. The integration with Apple CarPlay works seamlessly, making navigation, calls, and music streaming very easy.The WiFi and USB tethering features are great at keeping the system connected, and the Bluetooth connection is stable and quick to pair with my devices.I also like that the background screen and lighting on the buttons are customizable which is great for making it look more integrated with your cars interior lighting.The backup camera works well, image quality is sharp and reliable, even in low light.Overall, it’s packed with features, easy to use, and performs great. Highly recommend!

I previously had an Atoto A6 so I already knew that Atoto was a good company. The A5L did not disappoint as an upgrade. It has all the same features as the old model does but loads much faster and the apps run much smoother. The only issue I've had was that the home screen was not as customizable as the A6, but I was informed that they are looking into this as a future update. Other than that it's a wonderful unit.

A pretty good radio for the price, the wireless apple car play can be a bit laggy at first start up, but after 5 or so seconds works really smoothly this is basically a android tablet so you can do everything from installing apps, to watching Hulu or YouTube while driving which is weird. The screen quality is descent for the price. It’s basically the same as any low to mid end tablet, my main complaint is sound quality, now there is a lot of adjustments I mean 2 hole pages worth of just eq alone, but I find it not being the loudest, not a huge issue but it can annoy me as my subs can overpower the speakers at times.
